3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Golden amber in color with an adequate white head. Good hop aroma and bitterness. Not the "hoppiest" I've had, but a decent IPA

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: APR 7, 2004 Not bad, not great. Darker golden color; thin, white head with some lacing down the glass. Nice, strong citrus smell, and floral. Feels crisp and clean. Initial flavor is slightly fruity, with nice hop bitterness at the end. No idea what the description is talking about with this "HOPPIEST brew" business...yeah it's somewhat hoppy, but certainly not one of the hoppiest IPAs in the states.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a lite amber. Rich caramel notes in the nose. Maybe some EKG dry hops but no American hops for sure. Dry light and piney flavors with a nice hop bite at the end. A good pale but a lot to lite in hops to be a good IPA.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Orangeish tan color with a short lived off white head. Nice lace. Sweet citrus hop aroma with a bit of a lighter fruit sweetness. (maybe peach or apricot) Flavor is mild malty sweet with a fair bitter. Needs more hop flavor. Palate is slightly dry with a nutty after taste.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Foamy/frothy head that disappears rather quick. Medium orange color, very clean. Great smelling beer. Strong, sweet citrus smell with a little floral hints. Pretty decent hoppiness at first but it ends too quickly. Not a bad ipa could could use another hop or 2 before they can proclaim themselves as the "hoppiest".

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Good hoppy aroma with some malt, beer poured with a white head that lasted about normal time. Clear dark golden colored beer. Good hop flavor and bitterness with some malt to go with it. The hop flavors remind me of english style kent goldings? This is deinately not one of the hoppiest beers that I've had but I really do enjoy the hop flavors and taste of this beer. A good example of an english IPA.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
HOPPIEST??? I don't think so. Pale orange in color with a small white head. Hop is the main charecter but not to the degree stated in the description. Ends abruptly.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Sampled @ brewery. Light golden color without any real hop taste, just like all of the Long Trail products I have tried. Crap malty and fugly bitter finish. The good news is that it was the only Long Trail sample I could finish.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 11/20
Crystal clear light amber hue; just off white head retention could be better. Earthy hop aroma w/ a hint a diacetyl on first whiff; toasty, caramel malts and light fruitiness, but predominantly hops. Balanced very will to just bitter, but could be more so IMHO for an IPA. Toasty malt w/a little caramel support the hop flavor very well. Some fruitiness in the hop flavored finish and aftertaste. Lighter medium body could be a little more full, and carbonation level is fairly subdued with a dry mouthfeel. I think IMHO, that this would work better as a pale ale instead of an IPA, but I didn't name it. Very solid beer nonetheless!

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Lite amber with small, quickly disappearing head. Slight spicy aroma. Initial taste is caramel qith a quickly rising bitterness that settles on the back and sides of the tongue. The aftertaste is lingering.
