This IPA is big and brimming with the flavors and aromas of the new breed of hops coming out of Australia and the Pacific Northwest.

Thanks to ThirstyBird for sharing this! Very great nose with lots of mint, floralness and chewing-gum. The beer starts as it smells - great and aroma-full. Very intense and very great hop-combination. I like it but the mintiness of the Polaris-hops is a bit too much and too pushy. The aftertaste is long, intense - and minty. 14/12/14/13

Pours a golden color with a slight haze with a cream colored head. The nose is mild mint, citrus, grain. The taste is as it smells ending dry and crisp. Light+ in body with fine carbonation. The mint sort of throws me off a bit.

Normally I don’t include bottle labels in appearance, but this one deserves mention. The bottle art is awesome. The beer is just as good. Highly recommended

Draft at Thai Rock. Floral, bitter, piney, malty. Lingering bitterness into the long finish. Average.

Really nice IPA on draft at the Railroad House in Linfield. The pour was light gold with small off-white head. The nose was brimming with bright and spicy hops, as were the flavors. The hops were bitter, dry and fruity with a nice malty backbone for balance.

A golden amber ipa with a thick frothy off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with nice citrusy floral hops, catty notes, nice. In mouth, a nice crisp caramel malt with smooth citrusy floral hops, grapefruit pulp, alcohol warmth, nice.

Amber pour with a small head. The aroma is very fruity. The flavor also has a fruityness to it as well. Dry and refreshing.

Blind tasting with the S&G Tasting group. THX to Mathieu87! Only wrote down some small words and the score. Rather unknown IPA for me again. Liked it quite a lot though!

12 ounce bottle
Thanks to buffalohead for the bottle of a fine West Coast IPA. While not the standout that exemplifies the style it is still a solid release. Typical of many Long Trail beers there is room for improvement but not much.

Aroma / Appearance - A bronze semitransparent base radiates warmth and calm. A crisp white head balances gracefully on top. Orange creamsicle, vanilla ice cream, and light sweet malts are almost like a hop forward dessert sundae.

Flavor / Palate - The creamy mouthfeel immediately hits the tongue then begins to stick like paste. Slowly unfolding over the course of a few sips it builds to a bitter crescendo. For a nearly 8% ABV IPA it is well balanced. The gravity makes it tough to drink more than a single bottle. Even so this would be a good fallback if you do not have any local alternatives.
