2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Dec. 22, 2014. 12 oz. bottle; shaker glass. A previous reviewer hilariously (I thought, before sampling) used the term "cat urine" to describe this product. However, having both tended to an ailing feline and sampled this ale, the comparison is startlingly-apt. Generally love IPAs, and can almost envision where this brew was trying to go, but something went terribly, horribly wrong on this particular "long trail." (Maybe this was a bad one; am open to a re-rate.)

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Off-white sloppy head of varying sized bubbles with little order. Pungent hops aroma with lots of cat urine, peaches, mild malts and some tea leaves. Color is a medium orangish brown. Very herbal flavor with weeds, parsley, rye, dusty malts and roasted grains. Could use a bit more malt for balance. Finishes with a lingering bitterness. An ok IPA.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
From the 12 fl. oz bottle dated 9/26/14. The pour is a cloudy medium amber with yellow hues and an of-white head that lingers and laces. Mild carbonation bubbles. The hopes notes on the nose are inviting with the resin and floral character bouncing forward after a quick pale malt sweetness. Medium to heavy body. Smooth. Some toasted grainy malts at first and quickly superseded by the floral and resin hop finish. It is moderately bitter with a quick lingering finish. Long Trail hit the mark on this one. This can be a pricey beer but I got the six-pack on sale. Five more to enjoy.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Purchased on one of my trip to Vermont. Pours a very slightly hazy amber colour with a big frothy-creamy warm cap, great retention and some very nice lacing. Aromas of the fresh hops, but well-balanced with some tropical fruits notes. Because of this, the taste is quite sweet at first, but finishes on a dry hoppy bitterness. The fruits are always present. Quite a nice IPA that is easy-drinking because of the mix of tropical fruits and hoppiness.

A delicious combination of hops brewed brilliantly together to create a beautiful concoction that we call a limbo.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Pours clear, copper in color, very nice off white head and tons of lacing. Aroma of fruit, hops and malts (quite nice). Taste, after the nice aroma it is a bit of a disappointment, it does feels a bit watered down, don’t get me wrong, you get the nice bitterness of a proper IPA and some of the maltiness but it seem a bit toned down. Not. Bad, just not great.

Draught. Light amber color with off-white spongy head that dissipates quite fast, floral hops aroma, medium carbonation, lavender like flavor, hoppy taste, medium finish. A very balanced IPA.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle The IPA poured cloudy light amber with an off white head and lacing. It may have been too cold so I let it warm up. You are greeted with aromas of pine and citrus. The IPA had a medium body with average to active carbonation. Assertive hop bitterness pushes through the malt base for a pleasant, dry finish. This is nice IPA for all time. Great balance of ABV and bitterness.
