Amber pour with a small head. The aroma is very fruity. The flavor also has a fruityness to it as well. Dry and refreshing.

Blind tasting with the S&G Tasting group. THX to Mathieu87! Only wrote down some small words and the score. Rather unknown IPA for me again. Liked it quite a lot though!

12 ounce bottle
Thanks to buffalohead for the bottle of a fine West Coast IPA. While not the standout that exemplifies the style it is still a solid release. Typical of many Long Trail beers there is room for improvement but not much.

Aroma / Appearance - A bronze semitransparent base radiates warmth and calm. A crisp white head balances gracefully on top. Orange creamsicle, vanilla ice cream, and light sweet malts are almost like a hop forward dessert sundae.

Flavor / Palate - The creamy mouthfeel immediately hits the tongue then begins to stick like paste. Slowly unfolding over the course of a few sips it builds to a bitter crescendo. For a nearly 8% ABV IPA it is well balanced. The gravity makes it tough to drink more than a single bottle. Even so this would be a good fallback if you do not have any local alternatives.

Bottle. Pours light amber/orange. Aroma is pineapple, mango, and jolly rancher. The taste adds a bready malt and honey on the finish with a bitter note at the end. The palate is soft and smooth with a medium body and carb. This is a straight forward ipa that is on the sweeter side but, very drinkable. I'd definitely recommend this and get it again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz. bottle. Pours light orange with a one finger white head. Bits and pieces of lace. Lots of citrus on the aroma. Oranges, nectarines, tangerines, etc. with a faint malt presence. Lots of citrus on the flavor as well. Light sweetness, balanced with hoppy bitterness. Medium bodied with a bitter finish. No big surprise there. Nice IPA. A bit more potent than some at 7.6%. Enjoyable.

FROTHINGSLOSH (4895) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 3, 2014
Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a caramel-amber color with a medium sized creamy white head that left incredible lacing. The aroma was bitter, citric and piney. The flavor was bitter and tangy pine, lemon and cracker. Long bitter pine and lemon finish. Medium body. Ok.

Hazy, amber/orange appearance with an average size, off white head and nice lacing. Aroma of grapefruit dominates with subtle soft fruit in the background. That’s a blueprint for the taste as well; citrusy hops balanced by a clean malt backbone. ABV creeps up as the aftertaste unfolds. Medium bodied, moderately carbonated mouthfeel leading to a lasting finish.

Tropical fruit aroma, pineapple mango passion fruit. Dark orange color. Flavor is surprisingly dank and tart. Also hoppy bitterness. Very nice unusual IPA.

murky orange-ambers, oily wisp head. fruity pebble nose with light toast, lightly citric. Flavor softer, creamy orange, low residual sugar up front with light candy and earth through the sticky, light doughy finish. Pleasant palate is soft, fine carbonation never bites tongue. Simple and pleasant.

On tap at Houghs. Pours a play yellow orange with a white head. Aroma is of citrusy hops and biscuit. Taste is well balanced and the palate is medium light.
