This IPA is big and brimming with the flavors and aromas of the new breed of hops coming out of Australia and the Pacific Northwest.

Bottle. Pours a clear copper body with a one inch frothy beige head that retained nicely. The nose is weather intensely hoppy with a fairly restrained malt base that really lets the hops shine. The hops are a nice mix of citrus and tropical fruits. The flavor is a little heavier on the malt, especially on the finish, and itís showing a good deal of crystal, which I donít care for in an IPA. The hops are still pretty vibrant though, bitter and bright with a lingering citrusy note. Medium bodied and a little clingy due to the residual crystal malt sweetness. This one smells a lot better than it tastes.

Bottle. Golden, golden, average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate to full malty and caramel sweetish aroma with some tropical fruitiness, grapefruit hoppyness. Body is medium to full, malty and sweetish flavor, caramel and some tropical fruitiness, some grapefruit hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish - sweetish, some caramel and fruitiness, grapefruit - light piney hoppyness. Caramel sweetish IPA - way too sweet/too much caramel for me.

When i opened this bottle the glass rim broke and it was sort of flat. Iím not sure that it was sealed properly. Golden color with almost no head. Big tropical fruit and orange citrus nose. Thin beer with lots of hop juice flavors of tropical fruit and orange rind. Maybe its better from an intact bottle.

Very good. Long Trail beers are not readily available in my area. If you get a shot, it's worth a try. I tried this beer at the Student Prince Restaurant in Springfield Massachusetts. On Tap, tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Thought this was a DIPA and poured it into a tulip, woops, next time in a pint glass. The appearance was a nice looking hazy amber to orange color with a slim white foamy head that dissipated within less than twenty seconds. Barely any lacing stuck or even showed. The smell had bittersweet citrus hops with a light honey in the background. The taste was bittersweet through citrus elements of sticky fresh hops. It has a nice lingering sweet sticky aftertaste and fresh sweet finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was somewhat subdued and carried a decent harshness to the feel. Overall, I say this was a pretty good AIPA that I would have again.

Nice big IPA but it had a bit too much citrus in the nose and follow through. Much prefer their normal offerings.

Mild hop aroma. Taste is a nice complex mix of hops, and malt with some spice.

Good golden color and a nice hoppy balance without being overwhelming. Flavor has maltiness/biscuit too.
