Bottle. Copper color, clear. Strong, hoppy aroma. Really good! Very hoppy/bitter with some malt flavor. I would actually say this is closer to a Double/Imperial IPA than a standard one.

Sample at beerfest. Great IPA. Great balance of malt and hops. Really enjoyed this beer. One of my favorites at the beerfest. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Smokin With Chris. Nice colour and head. New Zealand-y hops. Over-ripe fruit, a sharpness that isn't booze. Unsweet fruit. Good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle into a shaker showing well filtered dark orange peel with half a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows malt on the front end that warms up into light citrus and orange zest. The palate is light bodied and well carbonated. Flavors of the same light citrus and orange zest with a few notes of tropical mango and kiwi in between. Moderately intense on all the flavors with a moderately to large bitterness on the finish. The bitterness lasts a bit longer onto the linger. A slightly above average IPA.

On tap at SLL tasting and 12oz bottle. Pours a hazy bright orange with one inch of white head and moderate carbonation evident. Citrus hops, resin, pine hops, fruity malts, grapefruit, and earthy notes. Medium body and moderate carbonation.

At Boathouse near Camp Timber Tops. Pours cloudy, dark gold/amber. Not much of a nose at all. Some grapefruit, followed by bitterness that lingers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle 355 ml
Aroma:resinous, slight raw notes, high pitch, touch of smooth alcohol, mild peppery feel a la rye. Nice smooth, rounded character. Sweet caramel at end
Look: poured with medium sized, bright white top. Bottom was clear, pale amber.
Body and Palate: medium fuller body, average carbonation, longer finish.
Taste: smooth, straight bitterness with solid malt support. Reminds me of early Dog Fish brews. Slight heat at finish with vinous notes.

Bottle. Pleasant fruity aroma. Sweet resin taste with honey and raisin and a barely bitter finish. Boozy in the finish as well.

Draft @ the Mews Tavern in Wakefield, RI. Medium hops, tangy sweet but not cloying. Solid but unremarkable.

My Bottom Line:
Tropical fruit and lightly toasted sugars are met by resinous greenness in this pleasant IPA.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A healthy head of foam sits atop the translucent amber.
-Carbonation is ample and soft enough to emulate bottle conditioning.
-Mouthfeel is relatively lean, which increases drinkability.
-Hop fruitiness is akin to peach and mango syrup.
-The resinous bitterness builds with every sip, creating plenty of coniferous allusions.

Bottle.

12 oz bottle @ home, a present from the wonderful Aaltje from De Bierkoning, thanks! Bottled 12/31/2015. Hazy orange/amber color. Off white head, stiff as whipped cream. Aroma’s of tropical fruit, passion fruit, some malty sweetness. Also some resin retronasal. Flavor is moderate to full bitter and moderate sweet. Medium bodied. Finish is long lasting bitter, but not too harsh. Next time I should try a fresh bottle.
