This beer is aptly named as the sun isn’t shining through this muddled ale. Wheat with over ripe lemon and short finish.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a very hazy golden color with a one finger head of white foam. The head has a good level of retention, slowly fading to leave a light level of lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma of the beer is quite heavy of a sour lemon smell mixed with a good amount of a biscuit aroma. A bit of wheat bread and some coriander as well as a little bit of orange and a light grassy smell are there as well. Taste – The taste begins with a rather dry flavor, with just a bit of a cracker flavor and a bit of yeast and coriander spice. As the flavor advances a very light orange and lemon flavor develop on the tongue bringing just a hint of sweetness and sourness to the profile. Along the same time, a bit of graininess and some light grassy and moderately hay-like flavors develop on the tongue as well. The yeasty flavors grow stronger as the taste moves to the end, leaving a rather bland and dry flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average side in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is average as well. With little flavor, an even higher carbonation and thinner body may have been more appropriate for the brew. Overall – Not a brew I would go to again. For the most part it was very low on the flavor profile with the flavors not even really being that good. While I understand that at 4.7 % abv. that I will not get a flavor powerhouse, this one is actually less flavorful and more offensive then most low cal. brews.

Draft- pours a cloudy golden yellow. It begins with a small head and disappears. I can taste the citrus spicy note. Overall good.

12 oz. bottle purchased in a six pack at On The Vine. I like the name of this brew, and that’s the color, a cloudy gold with lasting head after a slow pour into a shaker glass. Nose when warm is barely anything, light hints of grain and lemons

The flavor is on the mark for the style. Lemon grass upfront with a bread malt base. Coriander and citrus peel in the finish. The body is thin with a borderline watery element. I used to love this style and still enjoy on occasion but this doesn’t make me want more of it. Now I got 5 more bottles to deal with. Uhhhh

12 oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a one finger white head. Aroma is wheat and lemon grass. Flavor is more of the same. Light bodied with good amount of carbonation. Refreshing and easy to drink. It is what it was intended to be.
