3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
THOUGHTS: Kind of different from most pumpkin ales because it has some odd cocoa and grain notes that acted almost like pie crust flavors to the pumpkin pie. It wasnít all pie, though. There was a decent beer there, too, with some hops even. Way better than I was expecting.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured an ever-so-slightly cloudy, light, orangey amber with a large, off-white head that mostly diminished and left good lacing. The aroma had light grain, milk chocolate and cocoa; light hops; light pumpkin pie spices; fruity pumpkin, pie crust and pumpkin pie filling. The initial flavor was lightly sweet and slightly sour and bitter; while the finish was moderately sweet and lightly bitter. There was fruity pumpkin, pumpkin pie spices, cocoa, chocolate, grain, and light earthy hops. The medium body was a little oily and then dry with sort of soft yet still a little tingly carbonation and a dry finish.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Reviewed from notes.
The appearance has a hazy orange/brown body that leaves a half finger white head. Some light slowly moving carbonation is seen rising with some light lacing around the sides of the glass.
The smell centers around the obvious pumpkin and brings in a nice combination of nutmeg and cinnamon.
The taste is basically the same.
The palate sits about a medium, fairly mellow, sessionable, ginger/pumpkin aftertaste, slight bitter finish.
Overall, in my opinion, one of the better pumpkins out there from what Iíve had.

2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
Orange clear with a shade of brown. From a bottle there is not much co2. Mild flavors with some punky spices in there. Not bad but dows have a slight cloying effect on the palate. Finish is a little medicinal in nature.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a clear amber/dark amber with a medium off white head. Aroma is canned pumpkin pie filling. Flavor is earthy and mineraly...not a ton of flavor...reminiscent of mineral water with some roasty/earthy notes and spice towards the end. Mouthfeel is light/medium and lively with a dry muddled spice/earthy/faint roasty finish.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Pours clear and bright copper with a one inch frothy off-white head that left lots of sticky lacing. The nose is really spicy and sweet with heavy cinnamon, nutmeg, and a touch of ginger. Some nice pumpkin meat as well. The flavor is even heavier on the sweetness than the aroma suggested. Still a little heavier on the spicing than Iíd like though, which still lose out to the residual sugar. Lingering biting finish of cinnamon and ginger. Medium bodied, rather heavy on the palate, with soft fizzy carbonation. The best thing about this one was the way it looked. I kinda went down hill from there.

Appearance: Clear amber body with a dense tan head.
Aroma: Cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. Just spice.
Taste: Clean malts, light spices. Rather bland but drinkable.
Palate: Medium bodied, moderately carbonated.
Overall: Not bad, very mild, but better than the overly spiced crud thatís everywhere.
