Description: Long Trail is excited to launch Long Trail Pumpkin Ale, a slightly sweet seasonal treat artfully brewed with pumpkins, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves. The perfect drink for a fall day, this exceptionally balanced beer has an aroma very reminiscent of pumpkin pie.

Bottle. Pours a clear reddish amber with a medium head that dissipates quickly. Sweet aroma with a hint of pumpkin and a metallic tinge. Flavor is very pumpkiny, with a lot of ginger, and a hint of other spices. A bit too sugary sweet, without a lot of malt complexity. Not untasty, but a bit one-dimensional.

Drank from the bottle. Aroma consists of nutmeg, cinnamon, corn, and pumpkin. Taste is squash puree, nutmeg, and raisins. Medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation. I truly did not like this beer.

Cinnamon brown with below average head. Nutmeg nose. Sharp taste upfront with nothing in the middle to follow it up. Not so much pumpkin pie as paper plate.

Pours burnt orange with a off white head. Aroma is pumpkin, cinnamon and caramel. Taste is light bitters, light spice and light sweetness... Nice combo. Medium to light bodied. Nice pumpkin as the spices are not over done.

Bottle from SL, drank straight from the bottle. Smells like a decent enough pumpkin ale. Taste is you guessed it....pumpkin. Nicely spiced pumpkin ale. Cinnamon, nutmeg, little on the sweet side. Full bodied. Overall. Good brew that I would buy and rec to a friend.

an above average pumpkin, This bottle says it’s unfiltered but long trail doesn’t advertise a unfiltered pumpkin so maybe this rating is miscataloged. anyhoo - -I enjoyed it

Not a bad pumpkin ale. Pours an orangish brown with a small off white top. Aroma is spice, nutmeg and caramel malt. Taste is a nice soft blend of pumpkin spice, nutmeg and caramel sweetness.

(Bottle). Light pumpkin and biscuit aroma. Earthy orange complexion with minimal head. The flavor is pleasantly pumpkin flavored without over spicing. Well done for the style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the brewery: Pours medium amber with a thin white head and slight lacing. Aroma is pumpkin, light nutmeg, clove. Taste, unlike most pumpkin beers, is heavy on the pumpkin and not on the spices. It wasn’t a complete nutmeg bomb and that gets bonus points in my book. Light to medium body, nice beer.

My first pumpkin beer. I really enjoyed this. A good bitter ale with a hint of pumpkin. Not sweet nor too spicy. Good stuff.

Solid pumpkin. Not overly spicy and easy to drink. Would order again, but there are better one out there.
