Commercial Description:
Dark, almost opaque color. Soft, velvety mouth-feel. Light body. Draught O'Brien's "cascades" in the glass, making it almost as appealing to watch as it is to taste.

Bottled, 2002. Pour/appearance: not as invigorating or unique as Guinness, certainly, but not bad; head is thick but diminishes fairly quickly. Aroma: very chocolaty-sweet, but rather weak and lacking in complexity. Flavor pretty dry and lacking in maltiness; hop bitterness at the end is pleasant & reasonable but not enough to give this a great rating. Average for this brewery I suppose, which has to mean: not recommmended.

This beer is very light for a stout(the color is almost dark red when held up to the light), it has a nice aroma and very distinct flavor. Although the label describes it as a dry Irish stout, it is a little on the sweet side.
