muzzlehatch (4425) - Burlington, USA - MAR 28, 2002
UPDATED: JAN 19, 2004 Mar 2002 Bottled. Very dark brown, yet transparent color; medium, stable head. Aroma somewhat weak, but with interesting characteristics of bitter herbs and caramel. Flavor chocolaty and hoppy, with quite bitter, long finish. Body a little thin. Not as good as the brewer's Double Bag, but recommendable. Jan 2004 Marginally less interesting; starts out reasonably well, but where's the body? Wateriness is only good for ... water.

Bottle shared by jcwattsrugger, thanks John. Poured an orange/red body with a small foamy of white head. Aroma of bad chocolate, veggies, hint of glue and wet bread. Flavor is earthy, dirty, chocolate, bad oranges. The body is thinner and watery with soft carbonation. Blah.

jimhilt (2166) - Bow, New Hampshire, USA - APR 24, 2009
Pours a three finger off-white head that fades quickly leaving a good lace. Nice crystal clear red-amber color. Light carbonation and light bodied. Fruity nose. Flavor is lacking - watery sweet without much backbone. Some hops at finish. Contract brewed for Jay Peak Resort by Long Trail. $1.50 for a 12oz bottle from Beverage Warehouse Winooski, VT.

Dogbrick (4843) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - APR 22, 2008
Bottle brought back by a traveling neighbor (as "Jay Peak Tram Ale"). This brew is a clear dark amber color with a thin and foamy beige head that dissipates slowly. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of sweet toffee and malt. Light, clean body with sweet grainy malt, caramel and fruit flavors. Very little hops are detected. The finish is sweet with caramel malt lingering in the aftertaste. Pretty average overall.

ChazyRPh (577) - Chazy, New York, USA - JAN 30, 2007
Bottle purchased in South Burlington, labelled "Jay Peak Tram Ale". Clear amber pour with a small off white head. Sweet caramelly aroma. Malty flavor, sweet caramel. Not really balanced with hops, mostly chewy malts. Pleasant, good session beer.

DYCSoccer17 (2788) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 9, 2006
12 ounce bottled labelled "Jay Peak Tram Ale". Mildly fruity, a bit sweet, a bit vinous aroma with some caramel malts present. Light DMS detected. Transparent amber/orangey color with a frothy yellowish head. Fairly attractive. Lightly sweet, caramel, and a touch metallic flavoring to start. No hops detected at all, perhaps that is due to age? Nevertheless, this is thin and watery with a light sweetness. Not overly flavorful. Bland and unmemorable. Perfect for the yuppie Green Mountain skiiers.
