Ale_Drinker (1073), Sunnyvale, California, USA Jul 16, 2008 On tap at Breakwater’s in Burlington. Watching some fireworks from the lakes edge on the 4th of July. Pours hazy with a long-lasting head. Aroma is pine. Body is medium. Smooth bitterness. Nice.
NPRugby11 (52), New York, USA Oct 9, 2008 Pours a cloudy orange/tan and immediately hits you with a burst of citrus and hops. Has a citrus-peach character rounded out by bitterness. Goes down quite smooth, a very good pale ale. Slipstream (400), USA Sep 8, 2008 Forceful fruity, piney hop aroma and a cloudy tan pour. A little skank in the aroma. Nicely malted and well-balanced - tastes of orange, pine, esters, and peppers. I like the idea of an unfiltered IPA, and I’m surprised this does not score higher. cheapdark (1609), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 22, 2008 Nice sharp attractive sticky pine sap aroma. Hazy off yellow sparkling appearance. Big obnoxious shockingly bitter taste bud impact. Bitter sappy middle of the tongue roto-tiller. Terrible soapmix with grapefruit pulp lasting linger. On style, perhaps double or impy territory. Quite difficult, yet does not trigger gag reflex. KawaBomber (149), New Jersey, USA Aug 4, 2008 12oz Bottle: Cloudy orange w/ a small eggshell white head. Light citrus hop aroma & kind of cardboardy. Flavor is mild citrus hops. Kind of thin & mild for an IPA. What can you do? Move onto the next beer! fredandboboflo (641), East Setauket, New York, USA Jul 22, 2008 Bottle. Underrated! Just really nice citrus tang, pine resin, semi-dry, bitter, great balance without sacrificing that luscious hop flavor. 3.06? Really?
