3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 MartinT (6350) - Montreal, - MAY 24, 2009
My Bottom Line:
This friendly India Pale Ale showcases citrusy hops and wort-like base cereals in a slightly watery body which concludes in a decent wooden hop bitterness.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam circles the veiled golden sunshine.
-The body is slender and healthy, increasing drinkability.
-The hop signature seems to be different from that of their beautiful Double IPA.
-This is a nice introduction to the style for neophytes, but might be too run-of-the-mill for craft beer lovers to start raving about it.
On tap at the brewery pub.

not a bad beer at all, actually quite good compared to the rest of long trails line up. bright orange with aroma of lemon and orange zest with a little grapefruity zing, taste is similar with the added english malt vareity sweetness. a good overall east cost ipa.

12 oz. bottle from a shaker. Pours a golden orange color with a small white head that leaves nice lacing. The finest bit of haziness is present. Aroma has a nice bit of orangey citrus. Taste is very mild overall. A bit of light hoppy citrus and some sweet malt, but overall exceptionally mild for a craft brewed IPA. Carbonation is very smooth. Overall, it is a decent, sessionable take on the IPA.

Bouteille de 12oz. Merci Patrick.

Draft at Coles, Buffalo, NY. Golden colored pour. Mild hop presence in the aroma. Flavor has some grassy bitterness, mild garden weeds. OK IPA

A bit more fruit mixed with the floral hoppiness than I find in most IPAs, but still a decent finish. The honey-like sweetness seems like a bit of a distraction.

Poured dark, cloudy honey with a small head. Left a nice lace. Mild aroma of hops and florals. Flavors are nice slight sweetness, and good hoppy bitterness. Average body, light bubble, long bitter on the palate. not a bad IPA.

Small white head. Cloudy. Bitter and grassy taste. A slight creamy mouth feel. Medium bodied. Average carbonation. A bitter and sour finish. I’m not digging the after taste on this one.

12 oz bottle. A good tasting IPA, not real heavy on the hops, but drinkable for non IPA drinkers. Pours a cloudy yellow, I like the unfiltered brews, decent aroma of hops, well balanced. Not a lot of complexity, but good CO2. A lightly hopped brew, bitter finish. Overall, a good brew.

From the 12 fl. oz. marked 121310-1063. It pours an unfiltered cloudy orange-amber with a nice half-inch fizzy head. The aroma tends to be sweeter than most IPA’s that I have tried with the hops more in there as a subtle afterthought. Those that are there are piney and earthy. Thin to medium body. The taste starts out sweet but the bitterness kicks in on each subsequent sip. A milder IPA than many.
