COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular.
At 5% abv, the award winning Lamplight Porter is the strongest of our core beers. It’s made in the style of the London Porters of the 19th century with plenty of brown malt adding complexity of flavour. Chocolate and coffee flavours come through together with a robust bitterness from English hops. We’re proud that this beer took joint "Beer of the Festival" at Overton in August 2011.

Gravity dispense at Windsor Locale festival - 22/07/12. Very dark brown to black in colour with a thin off white head. Roasted malt aroma allied to toffee and caramel, wood and a little pinch of coffee. Taste pretty much as nose. Decent body and feel to this beer - well constructed and not as watery as some porters coming out of the newer breweries. Good effort!

Cask, Leicester Fest 12. Black with a thin beige foam. Aromas are chocolate, weetabix and coffee with earthy notes. Definitive oat character with lactose. Blackberries with marzipan. Flavours are nutty dark chocolate with coffee and blackberries with dark cherry. Dry and fruity on the finish with raisins and bready yeast. Nice.
