mgermani (597), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Aug 12, 2008 Pours a clear dull yellow with a small head and nice lace with a faint sweet aroma. Oddly tangy malting with a good hop bite. Malty sweetness/tang lasts well into the finish, but quite balanced overall. Good carbonation, crisp body. Compelling, sweet malt, very quaffable, nice beer! J_Hunter (165), British Columbia, Canada Jul 26, 2008 pours a light yellow with a nice hoppy aroma and taste of light hops with a smooth after taste. crazychuck (16), Canada Jul 19, 2008 Had a cask version of this at the central city caskfest ’08. Very aromatic nose w/ definite fruity undertones. On tasting, a fruity start yielded to a sweet, medium hoppy middle and a lingering hops finish. Overall a beer that begs a second. joss (3120), Garching b. München, Germany Jul 15, 2008 Tap@Longwood.
No nose.
Hazy golden lacing cream.
Straw and dusty maltyness, a bit leafy.
The "Alt" had more hops - this is in fact the least hoppy of their beers I tried.
Good chewy body.
Soso.
tiggmtl (4181), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Nov 30, 2007 Grapefruit is very strong in the aroma. Very hazy tan-blonde body is topped by a low, large bubbled, fully diminishing white head. Grapefruit hop flavour is quite strong and strong bitterness almost overwhelms any malt character. Peach-like fruitiness lingers in the aftertaste. Medium body is very dry but very low carbonation is a let-down. Sampled on cask at Dix (Caskival 2007).
