Black coloured beer with a off-white head. Aroma of malts, some coffee and hints of chocolate. Taste of coffee-bitterness, weak hints of chocolate and some roasted malts. Unfortunately with a somewhat watery body, otherwise it is pretty good. Not too interesting.

Had on tap at the brewery. Rich creamy with a smooth roasted finish. A good porter.

Keg at the Lord Nelson, March 2012. Dark brown with a hint of red and tight, creamy off-white head. Sweet, milk chocolate, coffee and berry fruits, leading to a dryish finish. Good.

A good porter from Lord Nelson. Goes down smooth, had quite a few sitting outside watching the bats.

Tap. Dark brown-red body with an average sized off-white head. Aroma-taste of tar, chocolate and coffee with a roasty-smokey finish. Medium bodied.

Nitro at the Lord Nelson Brewery on the Rocks in Sydney Harbour. Pour was a clear ruby with a nice Irish dry stout nitro head- thick and creamy beige with great nitro retention and sheety nitro lace. Aroma, of course, muted albeit some tobacco and Whoppers malt balls come through. Taste is light coffee, creamy, caramel, light bitterness from roasted and chocolate malt. Slightly oily on the palate and even a bit syrupy. Certainly not watery like most dry stouts.

From the keg at Lord Nelson Brewery, Sydney. Pours reddish brown with a medium creamy beige head. Robust aroma and flavour of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Smooth mouthfeel and nice bitter, warming finish. A delicious porter.

Had this one during my holiday in Australia april/may 2009. Black, red colored brew.
Malty aroma. Chocolate, malty flavor. Decent bitterness, dry.

I thought this was a solid porter. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of malt, coffee, chocolate, and a touch of dark fruit. Nice body, was smooth. The coffee stood out a bit and it was well done.

Slight malt hop aroma. Dark brown colour with good head and lacing. Malt hop flavour. Smooth palate.
