Nitro at the Lord Nelson Brewery on the Rocks in Sydney Harbour. Pour was a clear ruby with a nice Irish dry stout nitro head- thick and creamy beige with great nitro retention and sheety nitro lace. Aroma, of course, muted albeit some tobacco and Whoppers malt balls come through. Taste is light coffee, creamy, caramel, light bitterness from roasted and chocolate malt. Slightly oily on the palate and even a bit syrupy. Certainly not watery like most dry stouts.

Hazy dark brown color, teal to tan head. Malty, mineral, fresh taste. Medium to fizzy mouthfeel, medium low bitterness. Cocoa, light roasted scent.

Very dark black beer with a thick creamy head. Sweet malty aroma, molasses, toffee, licorice. Flavour is also malty, showing toffee, milk chocolate, malted milk, caramel, licorice, treacle. Very nice porter with a long toasty finish.

Keg at the Lord Nelson, March 2012. Dark brown with a hint of red and tight, creamy off-white head. Sweet, milk chocolate, coffee and berry fruits, leading to a dryish finish. Good.

Dark brown coloured body with a dense dark tan nitrogenated head with some ruby highlights below. Aroma of toasted malt, coffee and some light chocolate-VERY nice! Medium-bodied; Very smooth (nitro) mouthfeel. Mild roasted malt flavour with some coffee noticeable. Aftertate bittered from the malt, but not overly so. Overall, a good beer to try-a real treat in Oz. The nitrogen in this one makes it very interesting! I sampled this pint from draught at the Lord Nelson Brewery Hotel on The Rocks in Sydney, Australia on 07-June-2004.
