3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught at the brewpub. Hazy chestnut brown. Roasty malt aroma. A dryish beer dominated by roasty malt, creates strong coffeelike flavours. A careful hop rate lets the malt flavours dominate and results in low bitterness.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Very dark brown beer with a thick tan head. Sweet malty beer with a bit of spicy hop aroma. Flavour is a bit chewy, but not all that interesting. Slightly spicy, a bit herbaceous and vegetal. A touch of chicory and faint fruit. Doesn’t really come together.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Has a bit of body, but the watery characteristics are there in the finish, a bit of roastiness, but as motelpogo says, not enough. Hints of coffee, caramel, chocolate, but not well noticed.
