Had on tap at the brewery. Malty with caramel overtones generously hopped for a spicy bitter finish

On tap at the Lord Nelson. Rich amber with low carbonation and head. Aromas of malt, caramel and some hop. The flavour is malty and it has a nutty character with a hint of butterscotch and a decent body. It finishes long and bitter.

Another decent beer from Lord Nelsons. Nice bitter flavor, very crisp and clean. Good stuff.

Tap, 5%. Served insanely cold at the pub. Just hazy amber with an off white head. Aroma is of caramel, biscuits and spices. Straightforward biscuity malt with quite spicy bitterness. Far too much carbonation makes it a bit astringent.

Poured from the tap at the Lord Nelson Hotel Brewery, poured a dirty brown/orange with a think lasting head, not much too the smell. Sweet caramel malt flavor with a clean bitter finish.

Draught at Lord Nelson, Sydney. Pours amber with a small white head. Once again the malt and hops just don’t stand out at all and results in a forgettable beer. Perhaps the recipe has changed over time looking at the other ratings on here.

Tried on tap at the brewpub. Thought this could be a decent session beer unfortunately it is ony available on tap and only in Sydney. Amber body, malty aroma and good bitterness in the taste.

Draught at the brewhouse 5%. Like most beers at the Nelson I let this one sit for a good 20 min before drinking it. Arrived an amber colour with bronze highlights and a good size creamy head which lasted well. Aroma was earthy and was dominated by malt and toffee. Taste was a good hop bitterness, with similar characteristics to the smell, lots of caramel, toffee and malt. Medium bodied, dry texture, creamy mouthfeel and a smooth, metallic like finish. I really like this brew from the Nelson, I good session beer.

On tap at the brewpub. A cloudy golden light amber with a medium white head. Good lacing. Roasted malt aroma. Has a decent biting hop palate, but not much else.
