Tap @ ZBF 2013. Pours deep red-black with a small, creamy beige head. Aroma has chocolate, nuts, light roasted, some yeast. Medium carbonation, fine dry and light creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, chocolate, liquorice, plums. Fresh and nice.

Dark colored beer with a beige head. Sweetish aroma and flavor. Burned malts, pure chocolatee, mild notes of port wine. Warm alcohol aftertaste with again port wine noticeable.

15/XII/12 - bottle @ Kerstbierenfestival (Essen) - BB: n/a (2012-1353) Thanks to the Belgian/Dutch ratebeer crew for sharing our beers!

Clear red brown beer, small beige head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: caramel, aniseed, spices, cloves, bit of mocha. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: caramel, mocha, chocolate, bitter cocoa powder, little sour. Aftertaste: bitter touch, dark chocolate, spices, red wine, tannins, bit woody.

Sampled at OBER Kerstbierfestival 2012. Dark brown color, small beige to light brown head that lasts for a decent while. Not that much aroma or taste, would have expected more porto to clearly manifest itself. Not enough barrel ageing imo, but it still is a nice beer. Weird, in some ways average beer but somehow I still quite like it.

Bottle sample @ 18de Kerstbierfestival, Essen 2012.
