Taste: caramel, mocha, chocolate, bitter cocoa powder, little sour. Aftertaste: bitter touch, dark chocolate, spices, red wine, tannins, bit woody.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Benzai (4344) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - DEC 16, 2012
Sampled at OBER Kerstbierfestival 2012. Dark brown color, small beige to light brown head that lasts for a decent while. Not that much aroma or taste, would have expected more porto to clearly manifest itself. Not enough barrel ageing imo, but it still is a nice beer. Weird, in some ways average beer but somehow I still quite like it.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 sebletitje (5416) - Enghien, BELGIUM - DEC 16, 2012
Bottle sample @ 18de Kerstbierfestival, Essen 2012.
