Tap, as Hue Hefeweizen. Pours cloudy yellow amber with a medium off-white head and good lacing. Aroma is lemon, wheat, clove and banana. Perhaps a bit too much clove and not enough banana Flavor is about the same, medium sweet, no bitterness at all. Medium bodied and creamy. Not a bad effort.

Turbid orange pour with a white head. Light banana sweetness, some mild clove, some cinnamon, and a little bit of nutmeg. A nice malty bread aroma, some wheat, and a hint of citrus. Sweet bready malt, wheat, banana, lots of spices. Tons of clove, some nutmeg, and even a bit of cinnamon.

From sampler at the brewpub, Los Gatos, CA, 17/08/12 (as "Hue Hefe"). Rabbit piss looks with a white disc of head. Good banana shrimp, clove and candy aroma. Spicy and biscuity with banana and clove notes. Almost still; faintly tingling. Pick of the samplers.

Very hazy golden yeast color. Strong banana aroma with a hint of clove. Banana predominates in the flavor, with strong spice and a carbonated mouth feel. An unusually strong-flavored hefe.

Draft @ LGB at San Pedro Square, San Jose, CA. Pours a slightly hazy yellow color with a small white head. Has a fruity wheat malty banana and clove aroma. Fruity wheat malty spicy banana flavor. Has a fruity wheat malty spicy banana finish.

UPDATED: MAY 6, 2012 (on tap) Opaque dark amber. Nice aroma; mainly bananas. Soft pleasant mouthfeel from plentiful gentle carbonation. Flavour starts with citrus notes and develops through a richer banana phase and finishes with some spicy bitterness. Overall a great hefe.

Hoppy aroma. Golden coloured hazy in appearance and smooth on the palate with some banana fruit flavour. A hint of dryness in the finish.

Samples at Los Gatos Brewery. Hazy orange hue with a nice lacy head. Aroma of bubble gum and banana. Medium, crisp body. Banana, bubble gum and brown sugar fill the mouth. Very tasty heffe.

Draft at the brewpub. Hazy yellow with a nice white froth. No lacing. Aroma is bubblegum, banana oil, and light cloves. Flavor is just about identical. Too much bubblegum for me, tastes kinda like artificially flavored banana candy. Medium-thin body, nice effervescence.

On tap at the brew pub. Easily the best offering they had last night. Yeasty, with notes of coriander,cloves, banana and bubble gum. One of the best Hefe’s I’ve had at a brew pub, as well as one of the better ones from the West Coast.
