She’s Ripe, Crisp, Lively, VInous and Alcohol Heavy. The richness of the dark malt and ash give a late roastiness.

Flaska från systemet - Doftar inte så mycket. Mörk med stor skumkrona som försvann snabbt. Tydliga brända toner i smaken, tar tyvärr överhanden, smakar inte mycket mer.

Poured a dark color with a huge light-tan head. Maybe slightly over-carbonated? Aroma is very nice with lots of grapes, apples, and raisins. Almost like a cider. Lots of belgian yeast notes too. Taste is very full with a great blend of flavors. Good fruit along with raisins and brown sugar. Slight coffee notes as well as caramel and toasted malts. Dates as well as grapes. Overall fantastic!

Fra flaske på Mandag i annen des-14: her kommer julestemningen! Mørk, mørk brun med beige skum. Innsmigrende, kompleks aroma med bl.a. bringebær, svisker og krydder. Smaken er minst like kompleks, her finner jeg svisker, rosiner, fiken, krydder og mye mer, alt med et pikant streif av brett. En nydelig øl i toppklasse som eg fint kan nyte året rundt.

Sample at a bottle share, post Jackie-O’s 9th Anniversary. Dark red brown color. thin ring of kind of bubbly off-white head. Dots and bits of lace. Great dark spice, cinnamon, nutmeg, big clove aromas. Dark fruit on top of that, some caramel. Bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Lightly slick. Moderate sweet taste, moderate bitter, kind of spicy. Interesting stuff. As far as belgian strong ales go... Kind of a spicier one.

From notes. Tasted some time near the summer of 2012 from a corked and caged 750mL bottle that had some age on it. Pours dark auburn with a thick tan head that leaves average lace. The nose is cardamom and baking spices with some caramel malt, spicy yeast, and dried raisin. The flavor is lightly fruity raisin, showing a bit sweet, with cardamom, star anise, and other baking spice. The body is full and syrupy with lively carbonation and a long sweet raisin and baking spice finish.

Bottle share at Evernote. Pours a murky brown. Aroma is spicy fruit bread, plums, herbs. Mouthfeel is a bit gritty but fizzy. Initial taste is cinnamon, heavy dough, dark fruits. Seems very complex and rich. Colleagues were saying that the flavors were transforming over time... but wasn’t that excited to wait around for the next sip.
