On tap @ Uber. Dark and spicy with notable Belgian yeast aroma. Cloves and raisins lead a deep, rich taste. Lightly sweet aftertaste. Not the best Lost Abbey I’ve had, but that still leaves plenty of room...

Stone fruit aroma. Nearly black but red along the edges with a lace of head. Lots of yeast flavor with some tartness, spices, and big cherry flavors. Wine like body. Barely carbed. Pretty dry but has a woodiness I often associate with sweetness. Sort of red wine or bourbony.

large bottle at home... strange: when cold head is thick and creamy, when open for +/- an hour and at room temperature, it pours flat like a pancake. Carbo remains lively. Very cloudy dark brown with an amber greyish hue. Intense spiced nose, dates, figs, some fortified wine alcohol scent. Medium body. Fairly high on alcohol. Taste is roasted malts, rhum drenched raisins, slight caramel. Alcohol burn in the finish. Powerful beer. Winter Warmer.
