Lost Abbey’s once a year Anniversary beer. A new generation of Dark Farmhouse Belgian-Style Beer that had Brettanomyces (a special Belgian brewer’s yeast) added at bottling. On tap @ Uber. Dark and spicy with notable Belgian yeast aroma. Cloves and raisins lead a deep, rich taste. Lightly sweet aftertaste. Not the best Lost Abbey I’ve had, but that still leaves plenty of room...

Cloudy brown-red, tan head. Spice, honey, deep earthy tones. Predominated by sour and some sweeter notes. Long finish, mostly sour. Changes throughout the entire finish. Medium body, oily. Interesting beer, quite complex. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Shared 750 ml. bottle poured to snifters, showing a darkest mahogany/brown color, with frothy, tan head foam that diminished slowly to a persistent ring & film, and left some waves & spots of lacing on the glass. The nose started with a hint of candy cane mintiness that I may have perceived as rosemary influence, then proceeded with sweetness, and dark fruit as raisin & plum. Medium+ to full bodied, the taste continued the dark fruit flavor, added some tartness & alcohol warmth, and was more than successfully carried to the palate by a lively effervescence. Nuf said!

Lite kullsyre

Mørk brunsvart farge med beige skum. Lukter mørk stenfrukt, alkohol. Soft og medium fylde. Jeg får litt sherryfeeling. Smaker sødme og rosiner og noe alkohol. Sødme og noe bitter avslutning.

Uau! A strong complex quadrupel, this brewery knows well how to brew big beers. Caramel, toffee, plum, dried fruits, candy sugar, brown sugar...

Dark velvety brownish red. Light velvety raisin smells. Smooth sweet but finishes quite dry. The dryness balances the sweet.

Aroma, honey, raisin, grape, yeast. ..very warm and aromatic despite being chilled. Appearance, dark brown, murky, white lasting head.Taste, dark fruits, raisin ,cherry, raspberry blueberry, dates, figs, etc. Belgian Wang is there, but not bad. Feel us creamy, thick, a touch flat. A nice strong well crafted beer. Amen.
