radiomgb (1776), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Jan 30, 2008 Murky brown in colour, thin tan coloured head, some lacing. The aroma is very sweet with lots of alcohol, some chocolate and dark fruits. The flavour is yeasty, quite sweet, lots of fruits - apples, light spice, some raisins. Sweet mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes long, sweet, yeasty with some light alcohol warmth. The moderate amounts of alcohol in this became somewhat of a distraction, very sweet. Lacking body.

brokephibroke (54), , Colorado, USA Oct 11, 2008 Murky brown black tea like pour with basically no head beyond a few off white bubbles. Not to aromatic, some spice, cloves? Maybe plain yohgurt. Taste is superb: sweetness up front with dried fruit and honey, sour backbbone and a spicy, noticable rosemary finish. Minimal carbonation with a nice coating palate. This is a fine, fine beer! thewolf (3979), Kolding, Denmark Oct 11, 2008 Bottle. [thank you, myrup]
Pours deep dark chestnut brown with a small, staying, creamy, light-beige head. aroma has laurels, cloves, vanilla, cinnamon, roasted malts, plums, hazelnuts and chocolate. Actually a bit Christmas-y. Low carbonation with a nice, creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is great, good, fruitiness with raisins, plums and a bit of hops. Coriander, lightly roasted with some hazelnuts. Brilliant aftertaste with dry chocolate. o sign of the alcohol. Really wonderful. WeeObese (10), San Diego, California, USA Oct 10, 2008 The beer pours a deep dark brown, with a small head that does not last long.
The aroma the best part of this beer. Dark malty sweet aroma, slight molasses, followed by a nice sour funkiness. Great aroma.
flavor is simiiar to the aroma but with a roasty flavor that I feel is a little strong. Overall, it is a nice balanced beer but much of the funkiness is overpowered by the roastiness. As the beer warms the rosemary becomes more apparent.
I really like this beer a easy to drink especially for a 9% AVB. I hope as it ages the brett/sour comes out more and the roastiness fades a little.
Headbanger (1001), Aurora, Illinois, USA Oct 8, 2008 750ml bottle(Patrons & Saints Club)-Pours an amber body with a small covering for a head with a lot of floaties. Aroma of fruit, sweetness, and a lambic smell. Taste of malt, sweetness, fruit, raisin, and spices. This full bodied brew finishes with a nice smooth finish. A nice well balanced brew. alraicercsu (106), Ft.Collins, Colorado, USA Oct 8, 2008 Bottle. Aroma of malt and yeast and a slight sweetness. Pours a dark dark red brown color with a small tan head that dispates quickly. Tastes slightly of raisin, yeast darker fruit and also a nice cream feel that has chocolate and coffee in it. So far my favorite beer yet
