4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 19/20
750 ML bottle purchased at BevMo in Redding, CA. THE POUR / APPEARANCE: Pours a dark brown color with a medium tan, dense colored head. Good Belgian lace in the glass. AROMA / BOUQUET: Of course heavy in the raisins, and a strong treacle toffee aroma. The herbalness of the rosemary balances perefctly. There is an alcohol "sting" as well in the bouquet. TASTE: Bitter raisiniess, with a great deep earthiness to it. You can taste the rosemary in the background. PALATE / MOUTHFEEL: Body is medium to full, the texture is sticky to me, nice hop / rosemary bitterness at the top of the mouth. The finish is very long, malty, yet herbal. OVERALL: This is one of my fave beers- a blessing from almighty GOD himself!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught. Pours a very dark brown color with a moderate light tan head on it. Nose is a mix of malty and fruity, with a mix of caramel and dark fruits, like dates. Taste is a little sweet up front, then finishes a bit sour. Kinda heavy on the palate.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
750 ml cork bottle bought at Craftissmo in Tsim Sha Tsui East.
Looks: Cloudy hazy dark brown colour with some dirt- like yeast sediments; One finger head with beige foam which last for 90 seconds; Excellent, very sticky lacing and notable small carbonation.
Aroma: Very fragrant and sweet bready malt which can be smelt a feet away, with honey, raisins, strong barnyard, sugar, caramel, strong Bel yeast, spices, and very herbal hops.
Taste: Pleasant sweet full roast malt, with intensely rich honey, rum raisins, and smokiness, followed by rich coffee, chocolate, warm alcohol, sugar, Brett, Bel yeast, strong herbs, and moderate bitter grassy hops.
Body: Mid to full body, thick and slick palate.
Mouth Feel: A blitz of senses! Full body Belgian Dark with incredibly rich but very nice attack of honey, Rum-raisin and smoke, as if I was eating a freshly-smoked oyster and it tastes soooooo good! The follow-up creamed coffee and chocolate are equally rich and nice. Not to mention the Bretts and herbal roasemary, which are strongly featured for such naughty barnyard and nice herbal. All point towards winning material already!
Booze: at 10%, it is very comfy and extremely well hidden. Lovely!
Hoppiness: More herbal then faint grass in nose, light bitter grassy taste. Sweetness, believe it or not, is just right so balancing is not a concern. Abrupt sweet-low bitter finish.
After Taste: Fairly dry. Nicely sweet and comfy to mouth.
Coments: This one is massive and very tasty. The addition of honey, raisin, herbs, and Bretts, at the hands of mastery brewers such as this one, turn various parts into a nice sum and much more - nicely rich, dark, lively and savory - and the best of all is a very comfy, invisible 10% booze. A winner by all counts!

2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Mörkbrun öl med ljusbrunt skum. Tycker inte alls om doften. Påminner mig om tuggummi och tandkräm. Smaken är något bättre och där kommer fram bl.a. en del choklad.

Nice. A Belgian twist on a holiday ale in my opinion. Beautifully spiced, with an underlying Belgian yeast malt. Recommended.
