damn. when you’re bent on stoney chron, sunk into leather, head like a bowling ball..This thickness rectifies. Damp nose of must & grain alcohol. Bitter slapped intro, thick kumquat-rind sweetness laying atop. soaked fruits & raisins with bitter violations. Sit on your throne

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Had 9/20/14. Tasting notes. Poured a deep brown in a snifter at home with some lively head. Aroma was solid with big spiced notes, caramel malts, sweet roll, baked bread, slight bubblegum. Taste was big malts with caramel, toffee, brown sugar, candy, bubblegum, spices, and dough. Big body, good carb. Vercy complex. Solid beer.

A 2014 bottle poured in September 2015...
Dark, almost black, a nice tan head. A aroma of caramel with a hint of herbs. A very complex taste, nothing sticking out, sweet, bitterness, almond, full.. Sorry of wow and hard to describe. A fresh sparkling feel with a long and complex finish.. Some hints of citrus..
Very, very good indeed, feels very solid, could not be better..

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Sample at Taps. Pours dark, muddy brown, with a big, fluffy, tan head. The nose is raisins, molasses, lots of cinnamon, currants, and brown bread. Very sweet up front, with a good amount of spice to the finish. Medium body, effervescent and almost airy, smooth, and clean through the finish. This is a lovely, strong, flavorful, and thoroughly unique beer.
