2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Sample at SBWF 2014. Hazy brownish with a small head. This one was a strange one. Vinegar, funk, light berries, bread and tequila. Also some alcohol. Not really my cup of tea.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled@sbwf14. Deep brown, lasting off white head. Toffee, Tequila, medicine aroma. Pleasant but odd. Flavor has tequila wibes, cactus. Yeast and medicine. One of the weirdest beers I have ever tried. Not necessarily bad, but different . But 13%? Wow.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap@sbwf14. Brown chestnut coloured. Oak, very dark dried aged fruits, slight vinous notes. Knowing the agave- connection, yes it’s there. Sort of what clothes smell like if you spill tequila on them. Overall very interesting. And flavourful.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
SBWF 2014. Pours murky medium brown with a low tan head. Aromas of apple, booze, acidict notes and tequila along with some caramel notes. Taste is tequila, sour apple, apple cider vinegar, caramel, figs and some funkiness. Mouthfeel is oily and smooth with low carbonation. Very unbalanced and quite weird.

2.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
UPDATED: SEP 23, 2014 Bottle: Thanks, Jeff. Deep, muddy brown body. Swampy, just a small but of gray bubbles on top (surprised to see that many, actually). Big sweetness on the nose. Agave nectar, honey, graham cracker, toffee, plum, sweet wood, raisin, a touch of boozy tequila, slight nuttiness... Very sweet. Taste is totally different. Strange tartness on the palate. Grape, green apple, sour raisins, lots more tequila... Warm, almost hot, & super sweet at the same time. Cloying & boozy with a sourness that feels like an accident. Agave, honey, apple, & tequila finish with some harsh wood. Thin body, oily. Not good.

Tasting at Jack’s RAH Annexe! Almost opaque dark brown beer, few tan bubbles not being a head. Light dry crisp palate. Mellow sourness. Limey tequila vibe, touch of herb. Trace of sweet candy fruits before a light finish. Some alcohol spice. Limey linger. Interesting and tasty.

Serving: 375 ml. bottle. Murky, dark brown pour. Thin white head that vanishes pretty quickly. Boozy, sweet nose with a little tequila, dried dates, and wood. Sweet up front with notes of date, fig, oak, a little roasted malt, and a little tequila. Boozy finish.
