3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle courtesy of IBrew2or3. Cheers, Dave! Pours a hazy yellow with a white head. Nose is big boozy oaky tequila, some earth, some peat, and some malt with lingering agave. Flavor is similar with agave, earth, booze, sweetness, and lingering tequila into the finish. Medium in body and an interesting beer all around.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
375 ml corked and caged bottle poured a clear reddish brown with a small lasting tan head. Aromas of caramel, toffee, tequila, oak and spice. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of toffee, oak, tequila and light spice with a smooth lingering tequila finish. Best Lost Abbey beer I’ve had in a looooooooooong time.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled on draft at Pour in Ebensburg this beer poured a murky dark brown color with a small foamy biege head that left good lacing. The aroma was tequila, wood and cactus. The flavor was woody, cactus, tequila and dark fruit. Very long finish. A touch boozy but well controlled for 13%. Moderately full bodied. Well done.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This was a very odd but good beer. Aroma was big and full. Strong agave, wood, vanilla and burnt caramel. Pour was a nice deep dark brown with a thin off white ring for a head. Taste was very big and in your face. Very sweet and alcoholic in the front. Agave syrup, sticky burnt caramel and heavy wood flavors.Finish left top sides of the mouth with an almost sour flavor with chocolate, caramel and musty agave and wood behind. Lots of stuff going on here. Each sip left me wondering if there was too much. A little artificial tasting, but being a lover of good tequila I can appreciate it. Mild carbonation

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
375ml bottle. Reddish brown shade. Washes of head. Aroma of dark malt, chocolate, plum, blackberry, honey, earth, tequila. Taste is quite similar. Certainly doesn’t taste the strength. Just the tiniest heat. Slightly syrupy feel. Maybe a bit too much carbonation. On the whole, good but a bit unusual. Not too familiar with tequila or agave but they seemed to make it interesting.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Had once before and now with a couple of friends, better this time around but still kinda odd, thanks to Marc for this .. . Pours a murky brown .. Almost no foam, quite low on the carbonation .. Sweet margarita syrup and cheap tequila .. Full of pizazz but not very friendly .. Nice to get to try a good bottle but tequila doesn’t really get me in the mood for lovin’ . .. .
In my experience this gets a positive response when done with class. "Hey babe, I’m taking you to J Alexander’s tonight so you can try their filet of beef, you’ll love it." Not "hey slut, hop in the El Camino and don’t talk much, we’re going to Arby’s. "

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Slightly cloudy dark burgundy. The small, thin head becomes nothing quickly. Intense nose. Sharp, funky agave like in blanco tequila, brown sugar, vanilla, maple.Tequila is more muted in the flavor, though I still get some funk -- this is fresh agave. Woody, sharp notes are subdued at the swallow by mild toast, sugar cane, brown sugar, caramel and cedar. Syrupy, thick, medium-full body has very little carbonation. Sugars linger on the tongue, but boozy heat does not. Not bad.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours dark brown, with a small creamy offwhite head. Aroma is dark roasted malts, with dried dark fruits and prunes. Flavour is roasted malts, and a sour sting of what presumably is tequila barrels, as well as berries, oak, vanilla and an alcohol sting lingering through the finish.
