| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 20, 2009 Glorious orange pour. Medium weight malty ale. Mostly dry, but with a gentle hoppy edge. The aroma starts out nice and floral, and then turns meaner. AG is a nice farmhouse brew, but not too exciting really (like most bieres de garde). Some brown sugar and nutty notes. Mellow mouthfeel creates a bit of contrast with the light bitterness. A solid brew, in a bottle that was pretentiously adorned with a champagne cork (that took a while to remove). fonefan (11055), VestJylland, Denmark

Hazy dark orange color. Light head and lacing. Bit lighter nose than similar beers. Light mouth feel with fruit flavors and a hint of bitterness with no alcohol flavor. Good beer. NobleSquirrel (1106), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 24, 2009 Bottle from Sam’s, I think. Pours a very nice orange color, decanted it is pretty clear. Nose is malty, some candy and molasses, a touch of maple. On taste, it’s polarizing. I dig the sweeter, clean notes with a refreshing bitterness, though at times it seems a bit hot. Overall, it’s a pretty nice rendition of a BdG. Interesting. patrickfannon (299), Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, USA
