| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 4, 2008 Bottle. Light amber with small head. Slightly carbonated on the palate. The aroma was a complexity of spices (clove and nutmeg), and honey. The taste was of honey and spices but the spices were not overwhelming. A good beer to have on a warm day. Very refreshing. jcr (1149), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 1, 2008 2006 bottle. This was the second Lost Abbey Ale I tried, after Devotion, and I thought this one more complex and flavorful. Light orange body. Foamy head. Yeasty, musty spice aroma with hints of hay and caramel and a hint of band-aid. The malts and earthiness work well together. The flavor is moderately sweet and moderately bitter/peppery. Lively carbonation feels prickly. Medium body. Bitter finish. SpudClampDawg (1027), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 30, 2007 Reddish gold pour with a dense white head that leaves plenty of lace. Aromas of must and stale caramel malts rise from the glass. Lighter notes of peach esthers follow. The body is creamy and smooth, low carbed. A bit more sweet caramel is balanced by alot of peach and apple. Very drinkable, but just not doing all that much for me. Maybe I am missing the front porch, soft cheese and tree ripened apple from Grandma to really enjoy this. waolsen (1222), Littleton, Colorado, USA

Nicely hopped and mildy spiced. a bit doughy with nice fruit(apricot) flavor. The sweet malts in the finish gives a very tiny resemblance of a barley wine. smooth, clean and crisp. very nice. Mild pepper flavour with a good clean finish. I’m liking these beers like Russian River - for the very unique and clean crisp tastes. Very good! BrianK (190), Livingston, New Jersey, USA
