| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Oct 7, 2007 750, corked (incredibly tightly) and baled. Pours a crystal clear medium coppery golden amber with a thick, sudsy platinum blonde head. Plenty of lace webbing the glass as it settles. Mildest, sweetest grassy funk on the nose. Tingly, almost sizzling carb on the attack, with a nice medium body. Mid-palate shows some lovely, luscious complexity for a bdg: tobacco, grass, lemon, and a bit of resin--the resin’s especially apparent in the finish. This is a very pleasant little bdg and most welcome at $8 a 750. Feinschmecker (183), Seattle, Washington, USA

Fruity yeasty aroma. Golden to almost orange color. It is little bitter and very carbonated. I can taste the alcohol. It is 6-7 percent without a doubt. It is a little fruity and malty and with a clean flavor. This is a very nice Bière de Garde. scrizzz (1265), kirkland, Washington, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 30, 2007 Updated: Oct 5, 2007750 ml bottle. Poured a cloudy unfiltered yellow gold color with an ample sudsy white head that had plenty of lacing and faded very slowly. The aroma was faint with citrus, a trace of spice, some alcohol and hops. The flavor was more appealing than the aroma, the taste was reminiscent of a good saison with a smattering bitter hops added. I taste grass, hay, biscuit, and citrus. Mouthfeel was full and satisfying. Finish was medium in duration, dry, astringent, and biter. Overall this is a fine brew. Recommended. AgentSteve (1366), SF Bay Area, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 26, 2007 Updated: Sep 28, 2007From the bottle, pours hazy orange, like peach juice. Very full, white frothy head that diminshes to frothy lacing all over the glass. Aroma is a bit citrus, pine and yeast. Flavor is quite different than expected, with some nice hop and smooth malt, a little earthy, with a bit of a viscous mouthfeel that finishes sweet yet clean. Make sure you have someone to share the 750Ml bottle with, it’s a lot to drink in one sitting.
Not one of my favorite Lost Abbey brew, but I have yet to have one I didn’t like. hopscotch (5469), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

Spicy, grainy nose delivers essences of pale malt mash, coriander, corn, honey and gentle notes of fuzzy fruit. Sweet, grainy flavor with an afterthought of light hop and alcohol bitterness. Full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Sweet, grainy finish. Thanks to ughsmash for providing the bottle! johnadam2002 (529), Hainesport, New Jersey, USA
