What a nice beer to drink in the early spring sun. Made me feel like being in France where the style orginitated. And it’s not a bad example. Sweetish but lovely aroma. Golden colour, white head, good lace. Sweetish, malty, citrus and light hoppy. Hight drinkability, nice balance. whartonbrewer (30), , Pennsylvania, USA Apr 6, 2009 Wonderful, caramel aroma with toffee notes. A little cloudy, with a light-brown hue. Flavor is sweet on the palate, with sugary honey notes. Overall, an enjoyable beer. frylock (998), Buffalo, New York, USA Apr 4, 2009 Golden brown beneath a small white head. Aroma of biscuit-like malts with some citrus (lemon) undertones. Dusty yeast flavors accompanied by a light herbal hoppiness. Lively carbonation. Very drinkable. Thanks for sharing rudy. JMerritt (1313), Macomb, Illinois, USA Mar 28, 2009 Dark bronze with a small white head that is mostly diminishing. Wheaty grain nose with faint lemon/orange zest. Vanilla cookie malt flavor up front with white pepper, muddy yeasts, and fresh cut hay. Earthy, mildly alcoholic finish. In a nutshell: yeasty, grainy, unexciting. bsierra (213), Vista, California, USA Mar 28, 2009 On tap at LA, pours a slightly fogged gold amber. Nose is like woody apples. Strong sweet tone is there too. Flavor is a tangy wood. Almost like this was aged in some type of wooden barrel. Feel is thick on carbonation and typical on liquid. This one is pretty well made though and is even and consistent. If you’re into biere de garde style, give it a shot. dig it it’s pretty decent!
