COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Late in November of 2011, Mike Rodriguez our head brewer asked about creating a Coffee and Cacoa Nib version of Serpent’s Stout for the San Diego Strong Ale Festival. The beer was a hit with our fans. When we wrote up the syllabus for the Ultimate Box Set, we knew a version of this beer would be included. We waited until the very end of the release schedule to put this beer in a bottle so that the coffee and cacoa nibs really come through. Four Bourbon barrels were selected for their rich and dense chocolate flavors. One week before packaging, we added 17 lbs of Ryan Brothers Coffee and 4 lbs of TCHO Cacao Nibs were added to the coffee and cacao to steep before packaging.

12.7 fl.oz. bottle, served in a snifter glass. Poured black as night on a moonless night with an one finger mocha tan head that dissipated quickly. Aroma is fantastic and hits me with loads and loads of dark chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, dark roasted espresso beans, oak, molasses & dark fruit. Taste is just fingerlickin’ good: Dark chocolate, roasted espresso, Bourbon, molasses, oak, vanilla, dark fruit, licorice, caramel, creme brulee, whole wheat currant bread, raisins, soy sauce, salt, roasted nuts. Very thick and creamy mouthfeel. A full body with a chocolate, coffee and boozy bourbon finish. Absolutely divine nectar!

Alkohol: 13,5% obj.
Kolor: Czarny, nieprzejrzysty.
Mistrzowskie wykonanie! Mógłbym to pić i cmokać i siorpać bez końca.
Wysycenie: Niskie, delikatne. Dokładnie w punkt.
Podsumowanie:
Akcenty czekolady, kawy z mlekiem, pralinek czekoladowych z alkoholem, karmelu, ziaren kakaowca, brownie kapitalnie pobudzały ślinianki do pracy. Track #10 w wielu wymiarach podkreślił swoją szlachetną stronę. Dla fanów RIS-ów z górnej półki - pozycja obowiązkowa!

Bottle: Served in a Chouffe glass: Black beer with a quick disappearing brown lacing. The aroma is quite in balance and very interesting! Nice marriage between roast, bourbon, coffee, cacoa/dark chocolate and some vanilla tints. Flavour is good but the aroma made me think the flavour would be more intense, which is not... Flavour is nice bitter, roast, coffee and dark chocolate with a hint if alcohol/warmth. Lighter tone of bourbon and vanilla than in the aroma... Some praline, earthy roast and malt roast... Aftertaste is bitter, roast, coffee, some dark chocolate/cacoa and earthy malt roast... Low carbo, creamy to silky mouthfeel, close to full bodied. Nice beer but damn expensive!

Super boozy scent, but it doesn’t transfer to taste, thankfully. An easy booze bourbon warms the back of the throat and not overpowering. Dark fruit scent like cassis. Some dark bitter cocoa and tobacco with overly ripe dark fruits like plum. Almost a wine port in there. Dark black, no carbonation. Very nice. The ABV is apparent, but drinkable. Bottle

[8112-20160318] 12.7floz bottle. Dark roasted and charred bourbon-infused wood aroma. Black body with a medium-lasting foamy brown head. Roasted boozy grains and super rich imperial barrel everything flavour. Full body. Very tasty. (8/4/8-/3/15) 3.8

Bottle. Sweet taste of vanilla and chocolate. Slightly smoked a bit salty and with a coffee bean dryness. A bit salty. Boozy.
