COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
His name is Matt Vandenberghe and he created a sweet peach tea drink using Eagle Rare Bourbon as the base spirit. Tomme had a chance to taste these magical drinks during Seattle Beer Week a few years ago and has been looking at recreating this cocktail in beer. The base beer is our famous Angel’s Share that we aged in fresh Heaven Hill Bourbon barrels for 9 months. To this we added some awesome whole peach slivers and a splash of Brettanomyces Clausenni to ferment the peaches. The beer has a great peach nose and a long carmelized bourbon finish. One of the most experimental of all the track series

Mega Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Almost opaque dark brown beer, bubbly pale tan head. Palate is smooth with very light fine carbonation. A light touch of dark chocolate leads to sweet and tangy generic fruits that also have a candy vibe. Nice peachy tone on the backend. Finishes with vanilla, bourbon, dark chocolate and peach. Another Track belter!

Pour from a bottle of course at the Brewery. Color was a copper brown with some modest carbonation. Aromas of light Bourbon, sweet malt and stonefruit. Rich and smooth on your palate. Flavors of caramel, toffee, oak, bourbon, peach and standard delicious AS. None of the astringent tea flavors of Vern which was the inspiration of this remake track. Alcohol not overly there. Long tasty balanced finish. Yummy.

Tasted at the Stone 15th Anniversary party. Murky brown black color. Aromas emanating from this beer was a very prominent essence of peach. Did not smell like exceptionally enticing fresh peaches. Initial taste was quite sweet. AS flavors were there with plum and fig also. Strong alcohol heat. Bourbon and barrel characteristics along with the black tea. Finish was astringent I would guess due to the tea. Would be interesting to try this after it ages a bit.

375mL thanks to dfroms! Pours a muddy, cinnamon brown. Weak yellow foam. Nose is very savory smoked sea salt, umami character like soy/ponzu/mushroom, cold smoked heirloom tomato, porcini mushroom, sweet apple brandy/calvados. With time very complex peach cobbler comes through. Taste is cinnamon, mousse, apple brandy, buttercream. There’s no Brett C, no peach, no black tea, but this is easily the best Angels Share varient I’ve had. Peaches may add subtle acidity and brightness, tea may bring subtle dryness and bitterness. Finish brings slight bourbon heat and slight chili pepper heat. Really delicious dessert beer. Palate is all oil, ganache, peach juice acidity. Awesome. Very excited to have tried this!

Bottle... This beer rocks!… Murky brown ale with a short-lived, fizzy, off-white head. The complex bouquet furnishes layers of vanilla, peaches, vinous and woody notes, caramel, coconut, dates, milk chocolate and sour cherries. Full-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and lazy carbonation. The flavor is big, bad and boozy – caramel, woody tannins, sweet toffee notes and bourbon with only a rumor of peach. Finishes warming, tangy and nourishing; flanked by a touch of coconut. Awesome beer!

Pours cloudy brown with a fww off-white bubbles. Aroma has notes of malt, dried fruits, toffee, oak, vanilla, alcohol, tea and hint of brett. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and light to medium bitter with a long warm, oak, vanilla, toffee and fruity finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is flat to soft.

Pours murky brown with minimal tan head. Aroma of sweet dried fruit, mixed with muscovado sugar, bretta, figs and caramel. Taste is sweetish with orange, caramel, toffee. Finish goes into bitter almond and spices, boozy towards the end. Body is medium, oily to creamy, with flat carbonation.

Bottle, 375ml, at the Lost Abbey pre-party. Unclear brown body and a minimal sized light tan head. Brett notes, alcohol, prunes, caramel notes, roasted hints, oak notes and some faint chocolate scents in the aroma. The Brett disappearing quickly. Creamy and warming on the palate, full bodied. Lots of good flavors going on, all blending nicely. Long, warming and tasteful finish. Yet another wonderful blend. 130817

Bottle at the brewery. Pours with a hazed brown body with a small tan head. Aromas are spicy, barrel, fruity, tobacco, brandy, leather, dark fruits, boozy, peaches, almonds. Very complex aromas. Flavors are very tannic, boozy, tea like, fruity. Not a big improvement on the base beer, but really good. Mild peachy and estery character, complex fruity and slightly funky notes. Medium carbonation, warming, rich, tannic. Good!

Fobab 10, bottle I think. Pours a deep brown, ruby highlights. The nose is really neat. Brett C fruitiness, light peach and then Angel’s Share. Big vanilla notes as well to go with the funk. Really different. On tasting, it is a big beer, lots of sweetness, balancing bitterness. The Brett and Peaches come in to really give this a new life. I really liked this one.

Bottle. Murky brown pour with a fleeting tan head. Huge peach tea nose. Bourbon, peach, and caramel notes. I get tea in the nose, but not in the taste..
