3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
375mL at Lost Abbey for the release party. Poured in Rastar tulips with medium to lower carbonation. A miraculous medium tan head erupts as Tomme walks past with his new baby strapped to his chest. CdT dominates the nose with dark fruits, black cherries, red wine, and heavier Flemish red notes of bourbon, spice, buttery ganache, spicy acetic berries. Quite nice. Taste is salty, mildly acetic, some fruit juicy sweetness. Quenching saltwater with a vinegary twang and sharp lemon with berries. Bit of a lemonade character. Nice but the seasonal pale ales on tap were much better. These experimental dark sours are starting to taste very similarly.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle at Frank’s, courtesy of Vin - thanks for this guy. Pours a deep amber brown body with no head. Aroma is bourbon, cherry and oak. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of cherry, bourbon, light heat, toffee, faint maple, sour cherries and spice. I couldn’t really pick up the peaches in this one - but perhaps it added to the cherry (fruit) flavor in general. Regardless, another interesting Tomme blend that doesn’t disappoint. I just wish stuff like this was more accessible.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours hazy brown with thick frothy off-white head that drops quickly. Aroma is slightly funky, with cherries and bretta on the one hand and toffee and brown sugar on the other hand. Taste is distinct sour with a rich sweet caramel backbone, a bit boozy especially in the finish. Body is medium and creamy with average carbonation.
