UPDATED: FEB 17, 2013 Drank in Philly with simon, keith, and jimmy. Pours a murky golden color super thin head , no lace. Notes of oak, vanilla, pineapple, cherrys, gueuze, wood, lemons and funky yeasts. So incredible. Mouthfeel is unreal with a mercury velvet quality. Finishes tart and salivating with a pleasant peach gueuze flavor. canít wait to age my bottle now and see how she is in 3 years or so. Super rare lineage in the lost abbey world. I must have drank 6 of these before it kicked, Awesome!

Pours a hazy pale golden yellow color with a one finger white foam head that quickly settles into a thin, lasting ring. Spotty lacing left behind. Funky, earthy aroma with lots of oak and barnyard character along with some citrus acidity and lactic funk. Burnt wood, lactic cheese, sourdough bread and lemon juice along with funky bugs and acetic vinegar. On the fuller end of medium bodied with a strong lactic funk character along with some dry oak, citrus acidity, lemon juice and sourdough bread. Wheat/berliner like notes come through but thereís a stronger acetic presence than expected. Wasnít any in the nose but the flavor has some vinegar/acetone. This becomes more bearable as my palate adjusts, but I just wasnít expecting it. Other than that, this is a really good beer with a nice balance of tart sourness and lactic funk.

Bottle. A hazy, pale yellowish golden beer with some microfloaties and more or less no bubbles on the top. The aroma is very fruity, with a distinct lemony touch. Some funky hints, leather and a vinous touch. Itís dry and medium bodied, with a more or less absent carbonation. Semi-tart, with flavors of pale malts in the far back. Rather funky, leather, barnyard and lemon. Lasting finish. Another one of the tracks series that could use a bit carbonation, but itís a damn fine beer anyway. 141220
