COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You’ve made it to 547 Haight Street. This destination is more San Francisco than Rice A Roni, Chinatown, and Lombard Street combined. Welcome to Broadway for brewers everywhere. Everyone who is anyone has poured their kegs here. For the last 20 years, this place has launched careers, confirmed legacies, and since 1987 the only name you need to know is David Keene. Take a seat. Tip Strong. Nod appreciatively and don’t ask stupid questions. Welcome to Big Daddy’s House known to most simply as "The T-Room." Here the bartenders are fluent in English, German, Flemish, French, Waloon and Czech. But they’re most known for their American Lip Service. Watch it. The lady with the jet black hair behind the bar eats idiots for lunch. At 547 Haight Street, you won’t find any Cable Cars except for this one. But if you’re standing outside the Dutch Doors of the World Famous Toranado, you surely found the most interesting place in all San Francisco. Its’ about RESPECT. Dave you continue to have ours. Here’s to 20 more years of punishing livers everywhere. Cheers Gina, Jim, Tomme, Vince and the Brewers of Port Brewing

2010 Bottle, 750 ML split a stupid amount of ways.

A - Straw yellow appearance. Small whisp of the head and leaves a nice 1 finger head that fades fast.

S - The nose is huge! A very acidic, lots of grape skin, hay, rope and leather. Super funky with lemon as well.

T - Taste is even better. I get a hint of butter but really, it’s a lemon lime funk bomb, a lot of rope, minor fecal taste (yes seriously) and I get a really great grapefruit rind, ropey and sweet.

M - Insanely dry, super bright carbonation and mouthfeel. Really excellent. This makes the beer amazing.

O - Well, I didn’t hype this one up too long or sit on it forever. I traded for it to enjoy on my 2,000th beer rating and BOOM enjoying it with some nice friends from RateBeer. Excited to have this with you all. Thanks!

UPDATED: MAR 17, 2014 Huge thanks to Adam Jackson, tart and light with acrid sourness, very nice , this is how all sours should taste. Increditble complexity with fruit, berry, and cittrus flavors, then comes some spices and herbs. Great great stuff.

Sampled at Woodshop 2011. Pours a hazy bright golden color with minimal head. Aromas of grapefruit, lemonade, acid, medium funk, overripe lime. The palate is nice and drying, but not overly acidic, with flavors of tart peach, pink lemonade, slight funk. Well balanced.

This one poured a hazy darker yellow to orange with an off white head. Aroma was very bright, lots of sweet bread, orange zest, lemon, mild funk, and wheaty yeasty. Flavor was similar, lots going on here, overripened peaches, coriander, cracked wheat, light white wine, light funk quality too. Very nice.

2013 bottle thanks to Chris. Big thanks! Pours a cloudy orange with a fluffy white head. Brett aroma with some tropical fruit aroma. Taste is very well balanced. Starts sweet and finishes slightly tart. Extremely easy drinking. Medium to light body. Medium carb.

Pour is golden yellow with a bubbly white head. Nose has very faint barrel with hints of acetic acid, notes of leathery bret and orange peel with a nice vinous quality. Taste is very drinkable, sour white grape skins and citrus with hints of oak and vanilla. Faint leathery bret and a touch of citrus towards the back of the palate. Lighter body and strong carbonation (shocking) with a dry and lightly sour finish. Very delicate flavors and pretty well done.

750 ml bottle shared by brew3crew (notes). Pours a hazy golden color with a medium sized white head that disappeared quickly. The aroma had a pleasant tart citrus and tropical fruit character, oak, funk, with a mild acidity. The flavor is much of the same; tart citrus and tropical fruit, mild funk, oak with mild acidity. This is not a sour bomb, but more of a session sour that is wicked hard to find and obtain. I had been looking to try this for some time and was not disappointed.

Bottle thanks to Sean! Been lucky enough to try this beer a couple times. Pours hazy golden with an off white head. Aroma is straw, barnyard and a good amount of funk. Flavor is barnyard, earthy with tons of sour notes. Light bodied with little carbonation.

Bottle from a friend....flat. May be stored badly or off cork??? Ruined the palate, and there was no aroma due to that fact. Taste really good. I am sure if I got a proper bottle or if it was stored properly it would be a 4.5+ hope I get another chance to retry and re rate
