Bottle shared with ippopotamo36. Pours golden with a medium white head. Aroma of yeasts, citrus, pine, orange zest, lemongrass. Flavour is balanced, light sweet with a good bitter end. Medium body, medium carbonation. Nice!

4 oz bottle pour at Birch & Barley during the annual SAVOR Brewers Brunch. Hazy golden orange with off-white head. Aromas of herbs, floral notes, funk. Tastes of herbs, citrus, light alcohol, floral notes, light funk. Medium body with a dry and slightly warm finish.

An extra pop of bitterness for a saison. Wildly complex with notes of Citrus, pine, banana, pear...fruity booze nose. Some grapefruit. One of the better saisons Iíve had lately.

Slight/medium aroma of malts, Belgian yeast, fruit, grain, hops and brettanomyces.

Opaque golden/amber beer with a medium white head.

Starts medium sweet with malts, Belgian yeast and fruit; ends slightly bitter, dry and sour with grain, hops and brettanomyces.

Pours a golden orange with a small white head. Aromas of citrus/grass. Flavor was a dry, yeasty tinge to it. Overall very drinkable.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a cloudy yellow-gold color with a medium sized foamy white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was dry, musty and chalky with pepper and funk. The flavor was dry, tart and citric with perfume, must and funk. Long musty citrus finish. Medium body. Decent.

Why did I expect it to volcano from the neck? Smart beer girls always open a caged bottle near the sink, and in this case, although it didnít get crazy on me, it definitely gave the experience of popping the cork a bit of excitement. Poured into a tulip glass, the color is the shade of an apricot, warm and ripe from the sun. Hazy with bits of sediment, the liquid is blanketed with soft, off-white down about three fingers deep. - The aroma is amazing; tangerines in sweet dough, sprinkled with clove and left to rise in a warm oven. If given a choice of the meal with which I should imbibe this heavenly brew, I would choose brunch, as it vaguely reminds me of a simple combination of coffee cake and mimosas. - I pull at the rim, the beer flows between my lips fresh and clean; the flavors mimic the aroma, conjuring palate-pleasing, earthy tones and delivering a bit of spice in the swallow. The hops incorporated into this brew have all but given up their pungency, but add a lightly bitter accent in the taste despite their age. Itís an excellent nudge to the yeast and gives it an edge that is both exciting and inviting. - I know Iíll have to find this again, try it fresh and compare the two experiences, but this is quite nice and I hope that a fresh Carnevale Ale is not a disappointment after the delight I am finding in this mature example of the brew. It just goes to show...sometimes older is better.

kindly shared by impuritylaw@bartlebierís Saison tasting/Bierhandlung FR, 3/16, thanks a lot! aromas of vanilla bean, honey, white chocolate and white peaches, lots of tropical and yellow stonefruit in taste, great, chewy mouthfeel with an aftertaste of apricot jam. Wow!
