Editorís note: The 2009+ versions are spiked with Brett at bottling. Bottles from 2009 are marked as such, although 2010 and 2011 bottles appear to not note the vintage on the label, but might be printed on the neck or base.

750ml bottle, shared by DanielCoor at my house with b3shine. Hazy golden orange color. Thin kind of bretty foamy off-white head, little lace sticks. Good orange citrusy belgian yeasty floral bretty aroma. Smooth, soft, lighter carbonation. Lightly slick. Moderate sweet, light tart. Good kind of hoppy lightly bretty saison. Kind of a fuller, more slicker body than I expect from a 6.5% saison. Good still though.

750 ml bottle to. Snifter (shared by DanielCoor). Looks good; a hazy laden orange with AMPLE white head. Smells solid; hoppy, yeasty, and bretty with some mild spices. Tastes like it. Smells with a pleasant mouthfeel. Good beer.

Pours half finger of head on a clear light golden colored body. The aroma is smokey applesauce, soap, lemon and pear all mixed up in a nice way. The taste is sharp, approaching bitter. Retains bright fruit: apple and pear. Crisp texture with moderate carbonation. Pleasant and enjoyable.

750ml bottle (unknown vintage) pours clear golden yellow with huge fluffy head. Nose is all funky barnyard brett and hay, some faint citrus. Tastes like an older bottle, most of the hop flavor has faded away and itís pretty one dimensional with just straight up earthy brett barn funk with some faint orangey spice. Finish is dry and fruity yeast. OK as is.

Golden with nice head. Aroma is an interesting mix of sour and yeast, wheat. The taste was also interesting. The brett is clearly evident. The sourness is muted a bit, not what I expected. Biscut and sour. Mouth feel was thin. Finish was a light sourness. Interesting for sure.

Had this for a while, so that might have affected the quality. Pours a very hazy yellow-gold in color with a big foamy while head. Funky and spiced aroma. Paid too much for this just slightly better than average Saison. I expected better from Lost Abbey...

Bottle from Erzbierschof / Hazy blond color, huge creamy white head, long lasting and beautiful lacing / Aroma is yeasty, citrusy hops, fruity, spice, vinous, notable presence of bret / Flavor is spicy, malty, bret, light sourness / Medium body, medium bitterness, light sourness, dry, fizzy carbonation, long bitter and dry finish / I am amazed, really refreshing and complex beer

Ehh...honestly I was expecting a lot more from this. Pours a hazed straw color with an enormous white head that just seems to keep growing. Aromas of white pepper, some clove, sweat. Taste is so much white pepper, almost off putting. Only a hint of brett. Pretty dry. Finishes with more than a pinch of white pepper. Slugged the whole 750ml in less than 2 minutes and thatís just a warmup for tonight. Fuck you.
