COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
American hopped saison.

Editor’s note: The 2009+ versions are spiked with Brett at bottling. Bottles from 2009 are marked as such, although 2010 and 2011 bottles appear to not note the vintage on the label, but might be printed on the neck or base.

Thanks to caesar for sharing. Hazy golden colored, white head. Spicy nose, yeasty, some orange perhaps. Spicy and yeasty flavor, some dryness, some brett. Pretty good, although not very outspoken.

Pours a light golden with rocky head and lots of sediment. Nose is Belgian yeast, fruit ester, orange peel, a big spiced. Taste is tons of Belgian yeast, a bit of yeasty spice, fruit ester, a bit sweet up front, very bready, dry on the finish. Not much of that barnyard funk , yeast is very strong. A bit thick on the mouthfeel for a saison, high carb as would be expected. It's good, not great, very yeasty but missing that saison funk and complexity that I want. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled from biergenot.be, couldnt find a bottling date, medium sample. Slight hazy golden color, medium frothy white head. Aroma is slight spicy, some bubblegum, citrus, hint of barnyard. Soft bitterness, hint of lemony sourness, bit dry. Like a Bretted saison but with some quite noticeable citrussy notes. Nice, but Brett could have been more outspoken for me.

Draft pour. Pours a nice golden with a nice, cloudy head. Citrus, fruit, and spice aroma. Lemon citrus flavors with a nice spice finish. Another solid beer from lost abbey, though this one kinda stood out from the others. Good beer.

Got sour fruit, apple, grape, kiwi, honey, caramel, slight butterscotch, Belgian spices, lemon grass, CHECK- Light body. Oily texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Fruity finish. A good Saison for sure. I’d have it again.

Golden yellow, cloudy pour with a white, assertive head. Bitter up front, a bit grassy in the middle and drops off with a furtive finish. Waiting for something funky, finding very little. Would I drink again? Maybe. Would I order again? No.

Keg at Lost Abbey/Port tasting room, 18/04/14. Lightly hazed golden with a moderate off white swirl and edgework. Nose is straw, bitter lemon, light brett snap, yeast esters, spice, pepper. Taste comprises orange peel, tarte tropicana, spice, hay, light bretty funk. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough brett infused saison but not a whole lot of depth.

Bottle from Olbutikken in Copenhagen & shared at Takatsuki Jazz Street. Served in a mini-tulip glass. A crystal clear light gold with a thick eggshell white head that has stating power. Earthy, funky that includes citrus & catpiss notes. Light bodied with a zesty feathery mouthfeel. The taste is classic saison, earthy funky, some metallic Brett notes, lemony citrus and an exceptionally dry finish. This bottle was at least a year old but still pretty damn good, it held up well.

Draft at craft ale house. Pours golden with an inch of white foam. Leaves a bit of lacing in the glass. Has a bit of pineapple on the tongue. Nice flavor definitely get the barnyard funk. Finishes clean. Another nice entry from lost abbey.

On tap @ Bambino’s. Pours hazy bright golden yellow with thick white head. Aroma is lightly sweet pale malt and fresh earthy barnyard flavors that fill your nose; coriander really jumps out. Taste is clean pale malt, faint tart notes, with sharply crisp finish. Dry lightly spicy peppery flavors linger. Simple light refreshing beer; very easy drinking.
