American hopped saison.

Editorís note: The 2009+ versions are spiked with Brett at bottling. Bottles from 2009 are marked as such, although 2010 and 2011 bottles appear to not note the vintage on the label, but might be printed on the neck or base.

March 24, 2014 - on tap at the tasting room. Clear golden pour with some head and lacing. Aroma was yeast, light fruit, spice and brett. Taste was consistent with aroma. Light and refreshing with a slightly bitter finish.

Pours a translucent orangish gold with medium head and lacing. Beautiful aromas--floral notes, incense, honeysuckle. Didnít get the brett. Tastes sweet, with tangy peach notes as well. An interesting saison.

A good fruity spicy little saison, didnít notice any real Brett funk character developing but maybe the bottle is too young. Solid beer.

An awesome saison. A pretty peach color. Aromas are peachy and fruity. Awesome. Flavors are sweet and fruity with that nice hoppy saison finish. Amazing... One of the best saisons Iíve had.

Pours a cloudy orange with a full white head. Funky Belgian aroma with some grassy hops. Taste is slightly tangy with a medium body and high carbonation.

22 ounce bottle split among 4 people. The spices (coriander and something like nutmeg) were more assertive than the brett in the nose, which was surprising. Aroma was pretty mellow in general. Foggy copper appearance with a tan head. Flavors included the aforementioned spices, wheat, graham cracker crust, and brett yeast in the background. Not bad at all. Medium bodied and low level of carbonation. Overall a nice mix of flavors and unusual in how the brettanomyces plays a secondary role.

On tap at Lost Abbey. Moderate yellow with a good white foam. Aroma is mild brett, pears, and apples. Light body seemed more like a wheat beer. More fruits and bready character. I didnít detect much spice. Finish was light and dry.

2009 Bottle and served in a Duvel snifter: The 1st pour is a beautiful glowing coppery hue with a lasting fizzy head... the 2nd pour had some floaties and yeast cloudiness. There is a light acidic and even lighter funk in this, most of the hop character has faded outside of some melon on the nose, Nice grainy biscuity overtone along with some herbal earthiness. Yeah buddy, I like where this one went (even if the cork was a bitch to remove)

Tap @ The Doolittle: Cloudy pale gold with a nice white head with an aroma of orange zest, bananas, cucumber and bananas. The aroma and flavor are both clean, There is some zing in the flavor that proves to be pleasant, like bread. The aftertaste is wheat.
