COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
American hopped saison.

Editor’s note: The 2009+ versions are spiked with Brett at bottling. Bottles from 2009 are marked as such, although 2010 and 2011 bottles appear to not note the vintage on the label, but might be printed on the neck or base.

bottle. pours a hazy orange with a frothy white head. aroma is a nice lemon, lactic acid, funkiness. bright. nice. flavor is melon, toast, light booze anad some light dough. a bit of a disconnect between the lemony lactic nose which is almost gueuzelike and the melony, burnt, rustic flavor. but it works. solid beer.

Bottle from 2009. Blond beer with hardly any head. Nose and flavor show already some oxydation. The typical dusty, horse blanket notes of the Brett are noticeable. Would probably have been a good beer when it was fresh.

Bottle. Pale clear yellow beer with a big lacy offwhite head. Citrus, tropical fruits, sourish, lemon and yeasty aroma. Citrus, sourish, fruity, yeast and spicy flavour.

Heffy citrus smell. Belgium golden color with a white bubbly head. Screams Belgian wheat beir. Floral as fuck with a smooth balancing aftertaste. Would drink with salad.

Bomber. Slightly hazy orange pour with a monster foamy pure white head. This is a killer saison. Brett, grape, touch of sour, yeast, and a bit of spice. Fantastic.

Fra flaske på Cardinaltreff mai-13: kontrollert hvitt skum, klar gylden farge. Snev av brett i både aroma og smak. En kledelig, bæraktig fruktighet, men den blir mer besk enn behagelig bitter mot slutten. "Saison-style blonde with American hops" iflg etiketten.

Tap at Angels Trumpet; haven’t been out west in a while and its nice to just grab some lost abbey no biggie. Pours cloudy yellow. nose of spicy lemonade. tastes of brett, white grapes, grassy, lemon, yeast, and peppery. Finishes a little horse blanket and drying. but i downed this right quick.

750ml bottle (2012). Pours a bright yellow/gold color with a finger of off white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, lemon, belgian yeast, and cinnamon. Taste is citrus (oranges and lemons), belgian yeast, spices (cinnamon & pepper), and a light earthiness.

I love lost abbey by not too crazy about this beer. Sweet sugar very pretty but not game changing.

Tap: pale, hazy golden with medium sized white frothy head. Aroma is yeasty with wheat, bubble gum, lemon grass, and a light clove. Flavor is white peppery with a lemon peel tartness, wheat, a yeasty bitter, and a very mild honey/bubble gum sweetness. Captures a nice, varied flavor while being easy to drink.
