COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
American hopped saison.

Editor’s note: The 2009+ versions are spiked with Brett at bottling. Bottles from 2009 are marked as such, although 2010 and 2011 bottles appear to not note the vintage on the label, but might be printed on the neck or base.

Bottle. The pour was a hazy yellow with a huge (3-4 finger) white pillowy head that lasted a little while, receding to a large puddle and collar of residue, which had good spotty lacing. The aroma was of light grain and cereal malts, herbal hops and a funky Brett yeast with notes of citrus (orange and lemon), and a hint of spice (coriander and clove). The taste was a little sweet and a tad sour with a hint of citrus at first and then became rather hoppy with a slight bitter lemon peel presence and a mild peppery spice ending. The flavor lasted an average time proceeding the swallow, with a hoppy slightly sour peppery taste left to settle on the taste buds. Mouthfeel was just beyond light in body with a smooth dry texture and a prickly carbonation. Overall a refreshingly different Saison, with a nice sour spicy taste that had an outstanding blending with the hops...

750 ml bottle at home. Pours dark yellow to orange with a small head? Nose is spice and herb, more of a belgian triple than saison. Medium body, herbal and sweet. Taste is malty, spicy. Nice.

Bottle purchased in California during WCBT. Consumed after San Cisco performance at Triple Rock. Snifter glass. Light golden straw color with a half finger of frothy white head. Aroma of grassy, earthy characteristics and a healthy amount of spices. Gives a bright feeling leading into the first sip. Taste has the quintessential elements of a saison with citrus, spices, and a subtle hop quality. Definite underbelly of yeast funk but offset well by the sweetness of the other flavor elements. Incredibly drinkable...one of the better saisons I’ve had in a long time. Pleasant surprise.

Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. This cloudy yellow-straw coloured beer pours with a huge foamy head. It has a lemon, herbal and spicy fruity flavour, malty and toffee notes followed by a funky barnyard finish.

Found some notes lying around back. Thanks to Joris for sharing this bottle! APPEARANCE: clear blond beer, huge stable off white head. NOSE: hoppy, fruity, wheat. TASTE: hoppy, fruity, wheat, dry, bitter. Decent, but expected more from this brewery.

Aroma-I could only pick out sweetness (might of been a bit too cold) Apperance-Large white head, honey coloured beer, a bit cloudy. Taste-Caramel, sweet, herbs, pepper and some spice. Loved this. Not something that I could drink lots of but great to share. Bottle from Caps & Taps, Kentish Town, London

Huge light yellowish, very stable head over well-carbonated, coldhazed, golden beer; end of bottle solid yeast. Sharp "beery" nose, yeast, breaddough, rootspices, coriander. Coriander, wry rootspices (mustard seed, horseradish, ...). Peppery finish, but with sweet orange and strawberry. Brett is absolutely not obvious. Very spritzy, near fizzy carbonation, high attenuation, medium bodied seemingly. Rather unspectacular for Tomme...

Pours hazy golden orange with a nice white head. Head retention is good. AROMA: peaches, tropical fruit, funk, Brett, slight hop bitterness and light peppercorn. TASTE: tropical fruit, peach, sour tones, Brett funk, sweetness and peppercorns. Nice crisp finish and slight tartness/bitterness as an after taste. My aroma and flavor notes might be off since I was at a bbq. Definitely enjoyed it just wish I could give it a proper rating. Will revisit this amazing brew soon.
