4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, shared. Pours with no carbonation, no head. Murky, dark brick-red, sturdy alcohol legs. Very deep, complicated nose: tart cherry, raisin, caramel, tannin, vanilla, berry notes, balsamic. Decadent beer. Slick mouthfeel, finish sticks around. Big cherry mouthfeel, puckering start, dry ending. Weird and awesome.

-Backlog- Deep red with no head. Aroma is very vinous. Cherries, grapes, red fruit and some raisins. Full and fruity palate with no carbonation. Aftertaste is also full of fruit. Nice small sour bite in the end. Overall: Very interesting and vinous.

Aug Ale Alpharetta - Red/brown, muddy pour with minimal head. Taste is medium light tart, with lots of plum and raisin taste and forcefully finished off by the cherries and bourbon. Complex and tasty. Not overly sweet, but certainly sweet. The tart cherries and the Brett combine for a nice sour experience.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
a LONG time wish list item. lost abbey bottle and cork, not Port, but listed together here anyway. i was actually steeling myself to be slightly underwhelmed. the last couple LA sours were very good, but not quite great and in my little brain, this needed to be epic to justify itís top 30 rank. upon opening the bottle and sniffing the cork, ALL worries went out the window. One of the best aromas of any beer iíve ever had. after the amazing grace, which was more sour than expected, this was less, which iíd have thought a bad thing, but the slightly tart chocolate covered cherry and tobacco aroma was just amazing. the tartness comes through a little more in the flavor, but still a minor player. time may change that. pours a red/brown with no head, and the lack of carbonation is the only thing preventing this from getting a near perfect score. weíre hoping this develops some bubbles in the bottle, as a friend and I each have a bottle to sit on for a while...and Iíve never looked forward to the aging of a beer as much as this one. EXCELLENT!!! 2012 - too bad. didnít age worth a crap. almost a drainpor. Hmmm..." from <3 as high as a 4.6-4.7. Awesome quality control, guys!! ;)

Tap at Toronado, Seattle. Pours a dark reddy brown with a light tan head. Sherry, cherry coke aroma. Medium body, medium carbonation. Dark choc, cherry, lemon, light dark fruit, lemon. Lovely balance, tart yet sweet, very nice.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at home. Vintage 2012. Has a hazy, deep red brown colour with aproximately no head. Woody aroma with leather, berries, heather, brown sugar, cherries, creme brulee and cola. Has a sour flavour with more cherries, leather, oak and citric acid that lasts. Has a silky mouth feel, and a light bitterness. A pretty acidic and tasteful sour ale.

Bottle, via trade with haukur-- thanks! Nearly still medium brown, hazy, with brick red highlights. Malty with sour cherry and unripened berry character, lots of yogurty lactic acidity. Fairly full bodied, soft mouthfeel with very low carbo. Quite nice.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
All around good balanced brew with each and every flavor, sour and lemon sour and green apple sour but a good backbone of rich leathey and wood oak and pine tar. Medium carbonation. Loved this.

3.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cherry Coke appearance, minus the head. No visible head at all. Strong aroma of alcohol, bourbon, some tobacco and dark chocolate. Taste much of the same. No carbonation bothered me. Unique for a sour, but, as Iíve found with many other @lostabbey beers, doesnít live up to the hype. Alcohol not well hidden, and very prominent on my palate. Disappointing Sour.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Dark brown murky beer with no head. Aroma has cherries, raisins and bourbon. Flavour is verry sour. Elements from aroma present too. Didnít hit my sweet spot although I usually like sourness and cherries. Maybe this wasva bit too much everything.
