COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our first release of the embodiment of good versus evil in a barrel-aged blend. Part bourbon barreled The Serpentís Stout, and part brandy barreled The Angelís Share, this is our most anticipated release of the summer.

Black in color with slight tan head. Woody vanilla complexity. Incredibly smooth, roasty dominated with boozy wood and vanilla tones. A great smooth, complex beer.

Bottle. Almost black, darky brown with a lightish tan head. Dark candied raisings, slight bourbon in the aroma, rounding sweetness, and a touch of dark fruits. A bit more savory in the flavor, boozey, dark fruit, hint of chocolate. Viscous and thicker body with tiny carbonation bubbles. Good stuff.

Bottle, thanks for sharing tarheels. Pours dark brown/mahogany with a small, quickly disappearing yellow head. Aroma is buttery, bourbon, coconut, vanilla, a lot going on here. Just great. Flavor is sharp alcohol, bourbon, chocolate, coffee. Palate is oily. I canít really get into this, the aroma is great but the beer itself is a hot boozy mess.

Thanks to tarheels86. The pour is a moderately opaque dark brown with a frothy head that quickly disappears. Aroma is caramel is coffee, some roast, nothing too intense but definitely pleasant. Taste is caramel and lots of bourbon. You can definitely taste the Serpentís Stout in there as well, which I loved. Palate is great. Smooth, and full-bodied. I definitely enjoyed this one.

375mL. The pour is a tepid, hazy, deep mahogany with a lively, small, deep yellow head. Little retention and lace. Nice, low carbonation for this style. Aroma is very full and rich: heavy buttery bourbon, rich coconut oil, cinnamon, apple butter, old port. Approaching a 9/10 on the nose. Taste is rich, chocolate, butter, hazelnut, Nutella, dark chocolate ganache. Palate is rich, full, sharp, lightly tannic, oily to the extreme. Soft. Mild alcohol warming and slight rich booziness. Really delicious. Reminds me a bit of BA Santaís Little Helper with less carbonation and little more alcohol kick. So good- I wish it came in 750s. Canít wait to try some more of this in a couple of months or so. Doesnít really need to cellar that much anymore. This is very much good to go.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown, almost black, with a small fizzy brown head that retained as a thin covering. The nose is quite dense with a hefty maltiness dueling it out with the barrel character. Thereís a bit more brandy barrel coming thru than bourbon. Rich vanilla and charred wood with deep burnt caramel and thick roastiness. The flavor comes across as quite boozy at first sip with thick syrupy malt. The flavor is definately leaning towards the Angels Share, but the deep roastiness is a nice addition to the mix. Lots of burnt caramel and heavy dark fruits. Quite decadent in itís intensity. Full bodied and thickly syrupy with nice slightly fizzy carbonation that helps cut the heaviness well. Long lingering warmth that you can feel all the way down your throat. This is actually one of the better Lost Abbey beers that Iíve had in a while. The small bottle format is welcome on this one though, a 750 of this might be a little tough to finish.

Real dark brown; thin brown head. Very dense sweet aroma, alcohol, bourbon, raisins, oak. Hot. Big punch of heat to the throat. Thick, dense, sweet. Very ballsy beer.

Corked & caged bottle. Pours a deep dark brown almost black with a creamy tan head. Sweet aroma of caramel, dark fruit, raisins, bourbon and chocolate. Very sweet and rich flavor of dark chocolate, overripe dark fruit, vanilla, caramel, bourbon/brandy, oak, and a hint of brown sugar with a nice warming alcohol finish, Excellent brew.
