Our first release of the embodiment of good versus evil in a barrel-aged blend. Part bourbon barreled The Serpent’s Stout, and part brandy barreled The Angel’s Share, this is our most anticipated release of the summer.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with a small brown head. Aroma has an apparent barrel character with bourbon, brandy, oak, vanilla, chocolate, licorice, raisins. Taste is sweet caramel and dried fruits, light bitter chocolate, alcohol warmth in the finish. Smooth oily medium/full bodied, soft carbonation.

Bottle as shown. Pours a dark brown with small tan head. The aroma is nice wood, booze, roast, and chocolate. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet chocolate light vanilla, with lingering dry finsh, very good.

This beer is fantastic. It has a wonderful sweet rich wine flavor that didn’t change whether I snacked on an apple or southwest trail mix. This beer reminds me of my favorite port wine. Yum.

This was not my cup of tea. This seemed like more bourbon than ale. Very little head.

Bottle pours muddy brownish black with low head and carb. Aroma is big dark sweet fruits and oak/bourbon. Taste is rich malt and dark fruits with a nice amount of oak and bourbon. A big light on the palate for the style

Pours a dark brown, not much head. Fig, dark fruit, and malt on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes sweet.

At my place over an empty pool with group. Aroma is huge musky fig, burnt plum, bourbon, raisins. Taste is very nice, somehow smooth boozy full sweet raisins. Great full flavored sugar raison bite. Finish is long and nice and brandy forward.

Tap at Ale House. Pours dark brown with a light brown head. Aroma of raisin, chocolate, dates, vanilla oak, lots of bourbon and brandy. Nice and full in the mouth without being too heavy. Complex flavor with all ot the above. A nice sipper, for sure!

Poured at a tasting. Black with a nice tan head and thick lace. The aroma is amazing, and complex. I can pick up the bourbon, some oak, dark fruits, and vanilla. Maybe all together the aroma is taken as winey. The taste was equal to the aroma, this is a bozzy one with the alcohol coming out in the finish. This is as close to drinking velvet as I would think. Pure heaven.

Pours jet black with a tan head. Aroma is bourbon, vanilla, raisins, and toasted oak. Rich flavors of vanilla, chocolate, and bourbon flavors. Such a creamy mouthfeel and smooth.
