Our first release of the embodiment of good versus evil in a barrel-aged blend. Part bourbon barreled The Serpent’s Stout, and part brandy barreled The Angel’s Share, this is our most anticipated release of the summer.

Great candy sweetness and an even better bourbon flavor that leaves you needing the next sip.

12.7oz bottle shared. Can you say excellence in a bottle. Pours an oily black no head. The aroma is molasses (sherry barrels) bourbon, vanilla, deep roasted malts. The flavor is godsend, dark roasted malts blended perfectly with the sweet of the molasses and hints of vanilla and bourbon. Alcohol is well hidden but yet evident. Truly and amazing beer. Medium to heavy body and so smooth and delicious.

Pours very dark brown with hints of blood red deep within a snifter. One finger of light brown head. Bourbon, licorice, and dark fruit in the aroma. Bourbon comes first and is very prominent. Underneath theres a little bit of chocolate and then finishes with some booze. Almost reminds of Bourbon County in how intense and tasty the bourbon is in this. Brandy in the background? Either way, this is a fantastic beer. Smooth and silky on the palate. Very nice. Overall, a fantastic beer. Glad that I grabbed the last one. Probably in my top ten.

Tap. Dark pour with a slight head that dissipated quickly. Grape, whiskey, oak, port, and sherry. Good carbonation with medium body. Alcoholic, sherry-like finish.

Damn, I wish I had purchased one or two more of these bad boys from my last trip to CA. Black pour with just a slight tan head and slight tan lacing. Big brandy and bourbon nose. Fantastic mouthfeel - not too thick, not too thin. Lots of roasted malt and just a bit of sweetness giving way to big bourbon, vanilla and brandy. Quite nice.

Wonderful beer. Wish I could get it regularly in the Midwest. Brandy aroma is amazing. Very minimal carb. Actually wine like

Part of a special "barrel" week at The Beer Junction. $4.00 for a 4oz pour, listed as 12.5% ABV. Deep, rich brown color. Sweet aroma, like maple syrup. Flavor was potent! Alcohol in your face. It was a total palate wrecker. Viscosity was thin-syrupy, low carbonation. Sweet aftertaste. There were particles of something left in the glass. Not sure if it was from the beer or the draft line. No lace left. This was part of a 4 beer sampler (all barrel aged) and I would say it came in 4th but that is because they were all pretty dang good. Definitely not bad and worth a try.
