Our first release of the embodiment of good versus evil in a barrel-aged blend. Part bourbon barreled The Serpent’s Stout, and part brandy barreled The Angel’s Share, this is our most anticipated release of the summer.

En fût au Saint-Bock. Vintage 2013.

Riktigt riktigt gott. Perfekt till dessert eller ost.

Pitch black and almost no head. Not very much to look at, but then you start tasting and smelling. Whoa! It just keeps on going. Moderate malts with coffee, roasted malts, milk chocolate, nuts, cookie, light hops with citrus fruits and there's also some yeast, vanilla, a clear taste of oak, licorice, bourbon and brandy, caramel, brown sugar, grape, raisin and prune, a hint of smoke and peat, cola, spices, tawny port. The list seems endless. Flavor is complex and subtle and switches from light acodic to light acidic and light bitter, followed by light acidic, light bitter and sweet, then sweet and bitter and warming alcohol and only sweet and warming alcohol and finishing in bitter and alcohol. Body is full with syrupy texture and quite low carbonation. What a beer! Incredible. Together with Westvleteren my number one so far.
