Bottle 12.7fl.oz.

Clear dark brown color with virtually none head. Aroma is light heavy malty, roasted, caramel, oak - wood - bourbon, licorice - konfekt (de brune). Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. [20101102]

Bottled. A pitch black beer with no head - the bottle was absolutely flat when opened. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel, wood, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, roasted malt, and woo, as well as a light note of brettanomyces, leading to a dry, alcoholic, and roasted finish. The body is thick.

37.5 cL bottle. Pours pitch black with no head. Aroma is dark malty and fruity. Light yeasty note. Dark roasted malt, fruity and wooden. Dark malty and overripe fruity flavoured. Lingering dark malty. Alcohol and dark malty lingering smooth finish.

Bottle 37,5 cl. Courtesy of Sean9689. Pours pitch black with a tiny, tiny off-white head. Very sweet aroma of licorice allsorts (brown) and Bourbon. Solid body, close to flat, some hard roast, dark sweet pruney fruits and dark chocolate. Lots of Bourbon. Warming alcohol finish. 021110

Bottled@vPBF2012. Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is nutty, some liquorice, sweet malts and some slight old ale like notes. Flavour is toffee, alcohol, ripe fruits, mild alcohol and some slight resiny notes.

Bottle at Papsø. Hazy dark brown coloured with a small off-white head. Sweet and roasted aroma of caramel, dark chocolate, liquorice, oak and vanilla. Sweet and roasted flavour of dark chocolate, liquorice, oak and vanilla with notes of alcohol- Sweet, roasted and warming alcoholic finish.

Bottle. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty bourbon and chocolate aroma. Roasted malty bourbon vanilla flavor with hints of licorice. Has a roasted malty bourbon vanilla and chocolate finish.

Bottle @ Odense Tasting, Oktober 2012. Pours dark brown nearly black with a small creamy head and lacings. Nose is wood, bourbon, vanilla and roast. Smooth and really vinous. Tasty.. Oak, vanilla and subdued coffee. Fine stuff..

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are sweet vanilla, roast malt, caramel, wood, fruits and hops.

(375ml bottle) Pours a hazy dark brown (near black) body with a spare beige head. Aroma of caramel, vinous, toffee, chocolate, raisins, vanilla, anise, and brown sugar. Flavor of vanilla, toasted coconuts, toffee, chocolate, light brandy, and caramel with a mostly flat mouthfeel and a lightly chalky finish.
