Aroma of semi-sweet pale malts with a touch of floral, grassy hops. Body starts with a light malty sweetness, some earthy aged hoppy notes, a touch of toasted bread and a hint of black pepper toward a drier thinner finish. A pretty refreshing brew, but nothing that interesting or unique about it, although it’s fairly true to style. Nate (2575), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA

Bit of sourness and light bitterness, too. Overall, a mild nose. Medium golden amber, clear without the dregs, with light off-white lacing head. Medium body with light carbonation. Starts fairly dry with decent bitterness. Good hoppy quality and grainy wheat character. Funky taste in there, too. Nice, but not overly exciting. Bitter dry hop finish with medium bitter after. heemer77 (4313), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 12, 2007 The body was medium gold with a white colored head on top. The aroma was sweet pine with some oak and grapefruit. The taste had some grapefruit. There was also bread crust to complement the light body. I like this hoppy Belgian style brew, it’s not over the top. TheBeerGod (3177), Newport News, Virginia, USA

Tall foamy white head. Aroma is spicy with soft yeast notes, dried fruit and grassy. Taste is bitter with lots of yeast, soft spice, earthy hops, flowers, dried fruits, and grass. Body is soft and creamy with lots of carbonation. Ends with more bitterness. Stronger yeast, earthy and floral hops, some citrus oil or citrus peel, earthy notes and grassy flavors. Not bad! It’s slighlty sweet yet very floral with a touch of bitterness and some grassiness. Light to medium bodied and tingly on the tongue. Shag (1923), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 17, 2007 A cloudy yellow appearance with a moderate head. The aroma is spices and lemons. The flavor is rather herbal with some lemons and bread flavors. The finish is slightly bitter. An ok attempt at a belgian but nothing to rave about kyzr (1132), Belgrade, Montana, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 2, 2008 Deep gold pour with decent white head. Light spice aroma with a hint of malt and citrus. Flavor has some grain, with a bit of yeast, spice and a bite of hops that seems out of place. Not sure what hop variety it is, but it really didn’t do it for me. That bitterness from it stuck throught the end. 5000 (2900), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 9, 2007 Bottle: Dark marmalade in color, very hazy, thick, large foamy off-white head, clumpy lacing.   Herbal/Floral aroma, slightly earthy, a
little barnish and/or musty.   Somewhat weird as it has an herbally aspect to it I haven’t seen in any other beers.   Flavor comes
across pretty much the same, low hop presense, with a majority of it being this earthy floral and herbal combination.   Slightly dry,
very minor sweetness.   Seems to have a very minor astringent woodiness, maybe its weeds, like dandelion maybe?   Moderate body and
mouthfeel.   Finish is a little astringent, weed like astringency.   Yeah, I would say this is like a floral/herbal earthy pale
belgian, as it does have a bit of musty/barnish qualities.   However, it also has this really week Dandelion stalk like astringency.
Not bad, but pretty plain.   Probably my least liked Lost Abbey so far.
