COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s an unassuming road leading to the priory. Here, off the corner of two intersecting roads, dedicated monks have been making beer for over 150 years. It’s always been a simple life – the kind that requires they brew only enough to sustain the activities of their monastery In the silence of passing seasons, they pray, they brew and retire in a solitary existence behind the sheltering walls. They live a most interesting life. Most likely one we wouldn’t sustain. Nearby, each summer, the trellised fields spring to life as rows of resinous green cones are trained toward the heavens. Rumor is some monks love these hops and being surrounded by budding yellow aromas and the leafy pungent fields inspires them. Since we weren’t sensible enough to locate our brewery near hop fields, we can only offer this blond ale in celebration of our Abbey brethren and their steadfast Devotion.

Enjoyed from a 750ml bottle in a stemless wine glass. The beer pours a medium to slightliy dark yellow color, with an ample white head. The nose shows a pleasant, but somewhat surprising level of residual malt sweetness, along with less prevalent notes of yeast-derived fruit esters. The "Belgian Ale" strain seems to be the order of the day. The palate is drier than the aroma would seem to indicate, showing, malt, but more so a spicy, slightly fruity/phenolic, and almost Saison-like profile. Carbonation is assertive but not overbearing; mouthfeel is pleasant. The finish is nicely dry, leaving lingering notes of summer spices and a tinge of hop bitterness. Overall, a beautifully styled Belgian Blonde, surely one of the better examples of the style.

Hazy golden. Large frothy white head, lasting with lots of lacing. Very pleasant Belgian aroma, not too sweet or spiced. Likewise with flavor, not too sweet or spiced or fruity. Love the balance. Lighter medium body. Soft. Nice dry grassy finish. Well crafted. I really enjoyed this.

light, a little frothy, lemony, refreshing. A great summer beer. Beautiful golden color and large, frothy head. I really enjoy this beer, nothing too complex, just delicious.

Light Belgian beer with banana and fall spice. The blonde and earthiness tied together well.

Tap at Parry's in highland ranch. Aroma is banana and clove. Pours cloudy golden colored with a thin white head and some lacing. Taste is generally Belgian with banana and clove. Finishes smooth with the same flavors aforementioned. Good Belgian style.

Bottle @ D-Day in Mojnlandet :-) Pours hazy light amber with airy white head. Clear aroma of fruit and flowers, with notes of yeast and hops. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with vinous and dusty notes and touches of yeast. Dry and bitter aftertaste. Nice, indeed.

Bottle, 6.25%. Cloudy pale yellow colour. Big stable chalk white head. The flavour is grassy and hayish. Medium bitterness. The yeast does not taste very Belgian. Quite clean and pleasant, but not very flavourful. Too clean, I guess.
