deftim13 (103), California, USA Mar 9, 2008 Tap at the brewery
Light gold almost copper color. Fresh oak and pepper in the aroma. Taste is the same. A lot of oak in this one. Light red wine notes dance around the spicey notes. Little to dry in the mouthfeel. The oak plays way to heavy in this one.The mouthfeel is dialed in with perfect carbonation and thickness. Would like to have had more of the wine come through. Still not bad but not mind blowing.

Initially sweet, with strong alcohol flavor, and notes of earthy, grain, and bread. Well carbonated. Light but flavorful. No surprises at the finish, it’s dry and bitter throughout. toncatcher (200), Santee - SAN DIEGO, California, USA Oct 21, 2007 From notes 5/5 Lost Abbey. Pours cloudy golden color with a tanish head.
