12.7 ounce bottle at DC local tasting, courtesy of noodleuser - thank you sir! Cloudy reddish brown. Aroma is sour citrus and raspberry. Taste has decent funk, tart, acidic, musty, with plenty of fruit. Top beer of the session.

Bottle, at Haandverkerstuene. It pours an unclear, reddish brown body topped by a fingerthick off-white head. Lots of raspberries on the nose, lemony sourness, barnyard and even more raspberries. It’s full-bodied, tart, nicely carbonated and smooth on the palate, with flavors of raspberries dominating. Lemon and barnyard chimes in, and it finishes tart and raspberry flavored. Although all the raspberry focus it feels balanced, and it’s sure a wonderful beer, with a lasting finish. Lovely. 110211

Bottle at Beerwarming Party. Pours opaque ruby with a light, white head. Tart raspberry and cherry aroma, some acidity and vinegar. Extremely sour flavor, mildly sweet, some acid with hints of bread. Light to medium bodied with super-fine, heavily effervescent carbonation. Finishes with lip-puckering sourness and some lingering raspberry sweetness, and quite dry. Very nice beer.

Muddy, like pomengranate juice. The aroma is big raspberry with some light bugs and woody tartness. Tart, with dry berry character. Finish has yoghurty notes but is almost bone dry...nice.

A: The pour is a very muddled brown color with plenty of red highlights and a short lived off-white head on top. Not particularly attractive in any sense. S: A very pungent raspberry aroma, as you would expect, which provides a nice mix of tartness and acidity with a mild sweetness. There is a nice contribution from the oak as well, along with a very light funkiness, and plenty of lactic acidity and only slight vinegar notes. T: The flavors mimic the nose quite well. The raspberries are certainly the star of the beer and work very nicely with a strong acidity and a minimal vinegar flavor. The oak and fruit skins provide a very nice dry and tannic quality. M: A medium bodied beer with a puckering tartness, full carbonation, and a dry finish. D: I’m usually not the hugest fan of the framboise variety of lambic/sour beers, but this was a really pleasant and refreshing take on it.

(375ml bottle) Pours a cloudy ruby body with a moderate off-white pinkish tinged head. Aroma of cheese, raspberries, wood, and barnyard. Flavor of freshly pureed organic raspberries, tart, and some earth with a dry oak finish. Excellent!
