UPDATED: SEP 17, 2011 Draft at monks Tomme came over and cheered with us on this one - must be good? Pours a thick, reddish body. Aroma is strong raspberries. Mouthfeel is very smooth and creamy thick; almost like jelly. When the flavors finally sprawl out on the tongue you realize your palate is experiencing the most explosive flavors. Notes of raspberry, blackberry, and the classic Tomme Arthur moth puckering tart finishes for minutes. I was this beer to never end. Paired with the most delicious stuffed quail.

UPDATED: APR 3, 2010 (CA): Freshly made two weeks before the release! Pours an opaque, dark milky reddish brown color with no head. Nose of fresh raspberry purée, some tart blackberres, red wine vinegar, and barnyard funk. Flavor of smooth raspberries, oak aged tannins, lightly lasting acidic taste throughout, some funk, earthy yeast, rich vinegar finish. Extremely fresh- I’m practically chewing on bits of raspberry with every sip. This is remarkable stuff. Drinkability: Once again, this proves that Lost Abbey is the king of sours. Pairing: Raspberry vanilla cake, creamy lemon cheesecake, raspberry lady fingers and lemon mousse. Rebuy: Definitely. #376 on 02042010, DG.

On tap at OBriens; leftover from the Belgian fest. Man, I love this style of beer and this beer in particular. Wow. The thick lucious fruitiness reminds me of double cherry red poppy. In your face raspberry awesomeness. Sweet. Thick body. How do they keep the Brett from eating through the body and sweetness? Lots of flavor. Red brown color. Lasting creamy head. Sour acetic character with a hint of ethyl acetate I associate with many Lost Abbey beers: Duck Duck, CdT, etc. Excellent!

Tuoksussa on runsaasti marjaisia vivahteita. Vadelmia ja mansikkahilloa. Maultaan olut on todella kirpeä marjapommi. Maku suorastaan elää suussa. Hiiva tulee esille.

Oozes out of the bottle with thick, creamy, rose-colored beige head. Bouquet is beautiful. Sour cherries, sweet cream, oak, and, of course, raspberries. Lots of carbonation that shocks my tongue with thick velvety body. Unripened plum, sour apple, oak and raspberry. One of the finest sours I’ve tried.

375 ml bottle shared by jsprime. Hazy brown with an off white head. Big raspberry, sour, woody, funky nose. The flavour is near perfect. The fruit is not over done. Really a great sour. Thx Jeff.

Richmond 13th, courtesy MrChopin. Medium amber, slight haze and slight head Aroma is fantastic, deep raspberry and dark fruit aromas. Awesome. Flavor is a match with a really nice tangy sour finish.
