| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 16, 2008 A clear deep orange hue with a nice layer of creamy brown head that sustains well. Aroma is caramel and bread malts, a range of fruits and winter spices, citrus hops, and moderate alcohol body. Flavor is initially thick caramel malts interleaved with drying hops on top of a significant layer of spices and darker fruits, finishes sweet with modest alcohol warming. Palate is thick with moderate carbonation. A flavorful winter beer (drank in August!) with a spice profile that compliments the dominant malts and hops.
